Hello Friends.

Does your peeps make you wait?  Wait for breakfast or dinner, wait to go out, wait for treats.  Well mine does.  Well to be fair MOM usually does not make me wait for my meals or for me to go out.  But she does make me wait for treats.  She says it builds patience.  And she says that good things come to those who wait.  Then she actually videos the whole thing.  She placed the treat on the floor in front of me and told me to wait.  Take a look.

I had to stop the video there.  I ended up waiting two more songs before MOM said those magic words, "OK".  Today's mischief belong all to my MOM.
Once when I was at church with my MOM in her office she tossed a treat on the floor and told me "hold it".  So I did, I sat there and waited.  Then someone asked my MOM if she could go in the sanctuary for a moment so she did.  Over 20 minutes when she came back there I was still waiting sitting in a puddle of my own drool.  She felt so bad that she forgot I was waiting that she gave me extra treats and I DID NOT have to wait.

  1. Goose you have the patience of a saint. I doubt I could wait for that long to get my treat.

  2. You are a very Very VERY good pup, Goose! My mom makes me wait for many things too, but if she left me with a treat all alone for 20 minutes that treat would be only a memory by the time she came back.

  3. You REALLY are good at that Goose!!! We aren't so good at patience...we tend to just carry on until mama gives in. Love your facial expressions! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug

  4. Wow 20 minutes Goose. You are the best. No way would I wait that long. No way! You are really a good dog my pal. Have a marvelous Monday.

  10. Guess WAITING can be a good thing. For you it means extra treats...for me it means time to take a nap!

  12. Yep - welcome to the "Why are you making me wait Club" our Mom does this to us all the time too and she forgets sometimes to tell us we can finally have it.

  13. OMD...your expression is just killin' me! I can not believes you can just sit there likes dat. I is horrified and in awe at da same time. But I really shouldn't has shown my mum dis video.

  14. Wow, I'm so impressed with your willpower! Maybe the next time your momma needs a cuddle, you should tell her to WAIT!

  15. I'm not good in waiting - I'm not a waiter haha...and 20 minutes? that's toooooo long, if you ask me ;o)Have a fabulous monday ;o)

  17. Goose you are a very good and patient waiter...wowzer!! that is one of things I can do is wait, and the other thing is ballet twirl...i know they are really related but it works for treats...maggie is learning to sit and can almost make it till mom counts to 10 in her head, sometimes its just five...she is struggling with wait, but i know she is super smart and will get it one day soon!! after all she has me as her teacher. Thank you for your smart words the other day on my grumpy complainy post about mags.

  18. you are sooooooooo good.... i don't have that much will power for myself... if you put a treat in front of me it is scoffed. i tend to eat like dogs do, schoffing and swallowing.

  19. Goose, you da master of waiting! Mom said she was thinking of working with me on the treat on the nose thing but she thinks Stanley would come eat it.

    Your Pals,

  20. oH Goose, you are such a good boy to wait that long. Our doggie Ande could never so that. She just can't stand to wait. Good Goose. You deserve more than one treat for that. Have a great day.

  21. Waiting for food!!!???? Wow Goose you are an inspiration to wait 20 minutes with Mom out of sight!
    Bailey, Hazel & Greta

  22. She made you wait 20 mins.????? THAT is like 87 WEEKS. How COULD she???

  23. Hi Goose, Wow what discipline you have; I bet if you put a piece of your mom's favorite candy or dessert in front of her, she couldn't wait 20 min. Well, at least I couldn't!!!
Hope you have a wonderful afternoon.
Hunter sends lots of licks and barks to you today.

  24. Amazing waiting there,Goose. You earned a whole box of treats in our opinion. We do have to "wait" for the release to eat our breakfasts and dinners because Mom says it makes for less stealing of each other's foods. Phantom has to eat in a different room and doesn't have to wait because Mom never knows for sure when and if he will eat.

We also have to wait for treats and wait to go out the door. All practice she says for that one time when we really need to wait in an emergency.

    Have a good week.

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  25. You are excellent at waiting. I have been working on this too, although I don't do it as long as you. What a good boy you were to leave that treat alone even when MOM left the room.

  26. That patient stuff is nutty
    Benny & Lily

  27. O.M.D.!!! I can'ts believe you WAITED all that time for the treatie!!! Nows, I can be a patient pups, butts that is waaaay beyond what even I would have done Goose! (thou the pool of drool is right up my ally!!)
Your a good doggie Goose. I thinks you should have at least gotten a beer for your patience.

  28. Oh my. Goose, you have such self-control. Do dogs have fruits of the Spirit? Because I think that you do. But if that was a Jampacked Jawzer? Or a Jones Bully stick? There is no WAY you'd be so patient, my friend. I'd love to send you a couple of choice Jones treats to see how long you hold out.

P.S. - featured weims today on the blog! And again tomorrow!

  29. Goose,
You are a grand example of self control. I should be taking notes...

  30. You're amazing, Goose. My trainer calls it "impulse control". You have lots of it :)

  31. Goose you are an inspiration to us all! You are great!

Nina, Myshka, Sasha, Betsy, Phoebe, Lily, Paris, Punkin, Annabelle, and Lucy

  32. Goose! You are the bestest good boy ever!

  33. Dearest Goose,
Me has never heard of that word!!!
WAIT!!!???!! Is it a Dog word?

  34. Oh Goose that expression on your face killed me! Your Mom has been torturing you! BOL! Gonna have to send you a backup treat bag you can hide - that way when you're waiting till Mom says okay, you can nibble on your own stash ;)

    Waggin at ya,

PeeS: Mom and I would LUV LUV LUV to go on Walkie Adventures with y'all! :D

  35. Sweet, Goose. You are showing beautiful patience. I bet MOM loves to look into your eyes while you're waiting so patiently. That was a funny mischief story! It goes to show how deeply your patience runs when it comes to listening and being beautiful. :)

  36. I don't think we Siberian types are capable of that. At least not the ones who trained at the Stormy Zoluschka Kryschtal School of Siberian Studies. No sir!
    You're one amazing guy, Goose.
    Play bows,
PS: We DO have to sit before we get a treat. Or dinner. Or to get our leashes hooked up.

  37. That is some great waiting Goose...You have learned to be very patient...and your face is so expressive
