On Saturday I went for a walk with my friends at The Pond. That is where I met the lovely Ky that I showed you yesterday. We all had a great time. Then we came to this one spot that I just love. It is this drop off to the river below. MOM does not like it when I get to close to the edge. She thinks I might fall in or something.
Do you see it? There is a stick caught in the rapids on those rocks. MOM would not let me jump in to get it. She said that would be more mischief than she could handle. Again I tell her, "It's not mischief it's adventure." Sheesh. So I guess it was only "almost" mischief.
Now I know a few of you came back today to hear the tale of "the lost, the searched for, and the found." And I promise I will tell you....tomorrow. But friends this is where the story begins. And, no it does not have anything to do with this stick. Until tomorrow. Hehehhehe, OK maybe I am being a little mischievousness today for making you wait.
Blessings,
Goose
Goose you are such a tease. The suspense is killing me I have to know what happened! Glad you didn't jump into that river to rescue the stick. I'm sure you can find plenty of sticks on land to rescue.

You are teasing us, Goose! That qualifies as mischief.
ReplyDeleteYou are mischievous, Goose! I was very excited and now I have to find some more patience. I know I had some lying around here somewhere...
ReplyDeleteOh my cat! We're so glad you didn't jump in after that stick (even if it was drowning)! Stay safe and we'll be back tomorrow to hear the story. Happy Monday. XOXOX

My Kirra believes water is for drinking only. Any attempt at gaining access is strictly forbidden, especially if it means bath time.
ReplyDeleteStill the temptations are always there - enjoy.

ReplyDeleteThat was the first thought of my mom : I know this face... it's the "ready-set before action look"... or short: the menace-face ;o) ... and if I jump on the spot two times...that's the sign for upcoming angriest anger ;o)

STICK!
ReplyDeleteOK, my mom would freak if I got that close to the edge of a bank like that. It's not like I'm ever off-lead, though, so it's not like I'd fall into the river without pulling her in with me. Oh. Hmm. OK, wait. Never mind.
Play bows,
Zim
Figured it was a stick in need of saving. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure hearing the rest of the story will be worth it! Mom says she's glad you didn't jump into the water for the stick. We're both shivering just thinking about it!

Goose, that water is moving too fast, and it's too cold, and you're not wearing your coat. You gotta let that stick play in the water. It's just getting a little bath. Maybe you can get it in a few months. ;)
