Heavy Heart

Hey All.

I am devastated.  Momma just told me that my brother Easy has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.  I know my pain and my momma's pain can not compare to Easy's momma and dad.  Please let them know how much we care and love them.

I will forever look to the sky and think about you Easy.  I know my angle brother Goose and you are creating all kinds of beauty and mischief over the bridge.  I can't tell you how much you will be missed Easy.  A piece of my heart goes with you brother.

Much Love,
Buddy

On the Run

Hey All

Seems most people on Friday do some running: running from store to store, from isle 3 to isle 9.  But that is not how me and my momma roll.  But that does not mean that running does not happen.

Dog oh Dog did I have a blast running around with my best pal Bert, Megan, Miss Sophie, and Masiy Day.  Paulette (Sophie and Masiy's mom) said I am so FAST that I must have Greyhound in my family tree.  hahhahhaha.  That's our Black Friday tradition, being in the outdoors and this year I am so glad that my friends got to join us.

My momma has another tradition on Thanksgiving weekend.  As you may know she is the kitchen manager and chef at The Lantern House (a homeless shelter).  So my momma cooks Thanksgiving dinner.  Don't worry about me I got to hang out with my best pal Bert while my momma worked.  Anyway I have a little video of momma's day at the shelter.  Not only did people AND dogs get to eat a meal but then there was an afternoon of Bingo as well.  A very beautiful thing happened after dinner was done and Bingo was about to start.  After the meal a little girl went outside and picked up a rock then she colored a thank you on it for my momma.  So beautiful, it puts life in perspective doesn't it?

Buddy

Easy Mail

Hey All

Remember a couple months ago it was my Gotcha Day?  Well my brother, Easy Rider, was so very thoughtful, as he always is, sent me a little Gotcha Day gift.  He told me about it and I waited and waited for it to arrive.  And then I waited and waited some more.  It never came.  I guess it must be on a VERY slow boat across the pond or maybe the gift fell off the boat.  But that's OK it is the beautiful thought that counts.  But you know what that wonderful brother of mine wanted me to get more than a thought so he sent me ANOTHER gift.  This time I think he must have sent security guards with the gift because it ARIVED!!!  Oh and what a wonderful gift is WAS.  I say "was" because, well you'll see..

As you can see I am more than happy about my buzzard/chicken Gotcha Day gift.  Of and the snacks he sent were FANTASTIC!!  Thank Easy you made my day and I can tell you that night I slept soundly dreaming of chasing buzzard/chickens.

Blessings,
Buddy

See Beautiful

Hey All

It is time for This Moment See Beautiful hosted by beautiful Sugar.  You might think that us doggies do see und understand what humans have been saying and doing recently.  Let me tell you we do see and understand.  I see the hurt, the frustration, and the confusion.  It breaks my heart.  I may be just a young dog and I live in this world with my momma but I also live in our wonderful world of Blogville where all I have experienced is love, acceptance, and tail wags.  Humans, I think, could learn from our world of Blogville.  Oh I experience these beautiful things in this world too.

I have my best pal Bert whom I just love and he loves me.  It's not all perfect with the two of us all the time.

We both are very passionate about stuffs, stuffs we care about.  Like we both are passionate about a particular red ball.  We're passionate for some of the same reasons and also for very different reasons.  And a time or two we have had a disagreement about the red ball.  But you know what????

We love and respect each other.  See that photo right up there?  That is me and Bert saying goodbye to each other.  Every single day when my momma picks me up from Bert's place we do this.  We give each other a little hug and a smooch.  I love my brother Bert.  We may be different in many ways, like he comes from a long line of very important Goldens, I come from the streets.  Bert was loved, cared for and sought out from the very beginning of his life.  My past is... well lets just leave it in the past.  Everyone loves Bert right away the moment they meet him because of his golden furs and his breed.  I do not enjoy that same sort of acceptance (but I am winning peeps over when they give me a chance).  Bert and I are different religions but we respect each others beliefs.  Bert, and this may shock some of you, will take food.  Yep he does.  If some one has food they have to be watchful because he will take it off their plate or out of their hand without a second thought.  I on the other paw will wait for someone to give it to me.  My momma can leave a delicious bacon and tomato sandwich on the coffee table and go outside and when she comes back in the sandwich is still on the coffee table.

There and many other differences but despite all that at the end of the day we are still pals and we always See Beautiful in each other, in those around us, and in our world.  Why can't everybody do that?  A world that See's Beautiful will be beautiful.  When we do that, See Beautiful, love wins, even in our differences.  I don't know about you but I will forever See Beautiful despite differences.  Now get out there and spread the love, spread the BEAUTIFUL!

Blessings,
Buddy

A Balanced Life

Hey All.

I know I am young, but I have learned that a happy life is a balanced life.  Life can not be all fun and games, or all intellect, or all work.  One must find a balance and I think I have gotten there, or at least I am getting there.  Let me show you what I mean.

Play.  Play is important.

For me play means a good stick.

Oh yea, this is a good one.  I love me a good stick.

This here stick was one of my Angle Brother Gooses beaver sticks.  I love chewing it, throwing it, running with it; you know playing with it.

But like I said one needs balance.  And when play time is over I head into the house...

For a little intellect time.

Nothing beats reading a good book.  Momma and I read together each and every day.  Sometimes she reads to me and other times I read to her.
But dear friends while play is fun and reading is fun one must also work.  Work can be fun also.  I like to work.  I often help my momma work.  She says, "Many hands make light the work."  And that is true, even truer when some of those hands are paws.  Like the other night.  I was helping my momma do laundry and ironing.

I am such a big help.  Momma irons and I fold the laundry.  I estimate I cut my momma's work time in half.  Which means we have more time for play and reading.

Blessings,
Buddy
