Continuing Education

Hello Friends.

I know I said I would be gone a while cuz of MOM's crazy work hours.  But seems she can't sleep.  I've never understood humans inability to not sleep.  But since that is the case, here I am.
Let's continue on my adventure shall we.  I think it is important that everyone keep learning.  Even if you have mastered your special gift it is no reason that you should stop learning.

Here I am waiting for my teacher to come across the river for my lesson.

My teacher, Betty the Beaver, is a great teacher.  Today's lesson is how to create your own sticks.  WOW, my teacher is a master at this.  Just look how she made this tree into a beautiful stick.  And she works fast.

Professor Betty is giving me my assignment.  Always listen very closely to your teachers.  She suggested I might want to start off a little smaller and work my way up to this size.

Here is my first attempt at making a stick.

What you think?  Not as precise as Professor Betty, but I bet with a little more practice I'll be making piles and piles of sticks.

Practice, practice, practice.  I love doing homework.

Remember friends you are never to old to learn.  Even if you are the master of your "thing".  Learning is FUN.
Blessings,
Goose

  2. You are the stick master Goose. I always look to you for advice on my stick selections. Keep up the good work. Now about your mom...usually if my mom is having trouble sleeping she just snuggles up to me and it helps her fall fast asleep.

  13. I think I met Professor Betty's cousin a while back. I was swimmin in his pond and he told me to "GET OUT" I thought he was quite rude, but My Vickie was with him, she was screamin "Bert, BET OUT" too. I guess Beavers are good teachers when they are on solid ground and moody when they are in water. My Vickie said if Cousin Beaver wanted to, he could swim under me and bite my guts out. Wonder what kind of a swimming game that is. Oh well....new rule...Beavers on ground...OK (at a distance) Beavers in water.....NO NO NO NO NO. See I am learning to.

  19. I understand the sleeping thing only to well Goose!
My mum does the same sometimes, she comes down and wakes me up, puts me on her lap and then begins a long voyage of stroking!
I am rather flattered that it is only me who can comfort her in her hour of need!
Thanks for the lesson, I think you are more of a teacher than Professor Betty, you are born for it!

  20. I agree with you, Goose, I can't understand why mom's have this insomnia thingy sometimes. But I'm always a good guy and get up with her, even 2 AM in the morning, because she does the same for me.
I think your stick looks great - for me this is a masterpiece of a chewed stick :o)

  21. wow that is one BIG stick, Jake would love it. tell Mom, I think sleeplessness is a female thing... to bad we can't sleep like our canine friends do... just lay down and instantly be sound asleep

  22. You certainly found a professional teacher there, Goose. It's looks like you're a mighty quick learner too. Buddy's been eating corn the squirrels have dropped from the bird feeder all morning. It's transitioned from bird feeder to squirrel feeder to Buddy feeder. I say this because, who knows, maybe you'll be building dams before we know it. ;)

    Happy gnawing beautiful!

Graduate Goose you are amazing - what a talent! I was really glad to find lots of gorgeous photos of you here again today.

I am sorry to hear of Mom's insomnia though. All too familiar with the condition myself - as I don't have a canine carer to keep me straight just now though, I ended up going blogging instead!!! Funny that... Licks from YAM-aunty
