Lights in the Sky

Hello Friends.

On Tuesday night we had quite the light show in the sky.  My MOM has for a long time tried to get lightning shots.  She has gotten a couple.  Butt last night we sat on the patio for some time trying to get some shots.  It was a cloudy night and so she did not get the "bolts".  Butt she is very excited to improve on what she got.  I thought they were cool so I wanted to share them with you.  Are you ready?  Good, lets go.

Cool right?  Did you know I like thunder and lightning?  Yep I do.  And it seems my MOM get the very best sleep during these times, which she really needs right now.
On a side note, I want ya all to know that each of your blogs are being read.  Butt sometimes we can not comment on each one.  I'm lucky if my MOM helps me post something at all sometimes.  As you know she works at the church, butt for months now she has not only volunteered at the Homeless Shelter she now works there too.  I am spending more time with Bert during these last several months.  And that is cool, I like it there.  However my MOM does makes sure that we have all the walks we ever did, and cuddle time, and some adventures here and there.  And sitting in the middle of the night on the patio to watch glorious lightning shows.  Now my friends go light up your world.

  1. Pawsome photos! Our mom likes thunder and lightening, too..

    Bart, Ruby and Otto

  2. oh wow I miss those storms!!!

Stop on by for a visit

  3. Boy, that is some kind of blue--that 4th photo looks like the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Icabod Crane is going to come racing by any moment. Those storms are awesome in the true sense of the word

  4. Cool shots mum and we are glad the thundery nights help you sleep and get some rest. No worries we see you when we see you. Take care. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  5. Pawsome shots! Our Mommy enjoys a little thunder boomie, too.
    Happy Wednesday, furriends. XOXO

  6. homeless shelter trumps blogging every single time... tell mom to take care of herself. Baby girl hides in her condo (back side of walk in closet) when these sky's do this, i don't hide but i don't go outside or even stand near a window. i usual pray for safety when storms come. here in Florida the lightning capital of the USA lightning burns houses and destroyer's trees and kills people. so not sitting on aporch for me

  7. Those are amazing pictures. Your Lady is very nice to give her time to helping the homeless. Have a great day. Lee and Phod

  8. Those are really cool pictures! (That 2nd pic looks like Niagara Falls!)

We think you are the only one Goose who doesn't mind the big storms. We shiver and shake when they come through here.

We love that your Mom helps out at the Shelter!! We all know just how important it is to help others, so we commend her for her hard work and dedication.

Say hi to Bert and the gang.

    Lily Belle & Muffin

  9. We don't react to the storms but we wouldn't want to be hanging out in it at night. Cool pictures your mom got. No problem about the blogging and comments we all think your mom's work is much more important.

    Millie & Walter

  10. We certainly understand about not having enough time! But you have to go out and live in the world to be able to have something to blog about.

Your lightning show is pretty cool! Mom likes to sleep on stormy nights, too.

  11. Lightning can be so pretty. We like to watch it when it's behind the clouds and it looks like the whole cloud is lighting up.

  12. Those are really wonderful photos. Glad you and your Mom are still getting walks and cuddle time together. :)

  13. Great photos! We had the lightening too and rain. Bailey does not like the thunder that comes with it.
    Bailey, Hazel & Greta

  14. That light show was amazing. We don't think we would like it. Kudos to mom!

OMD those are incredible shots! Well done Mom!!! (and the new camera of course...)

Really not bothered by storms Goose? Better than me then. I like them in the distance but the cracking great bomb-dropping things that we get here in Mumbai (or in Sydney sometimes) tend to rattle YAMs teeth and jingle the nerves.

True, cool damp weather seems to improve sleep for us insomniacs though! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  18. Cool shots of the night sky.
I am not scared of the thunder either.
We sure did enjoy seeing all your Wyoming photos too.
No problem about commenting we do the same thing, my mom
works 10 hour days at the nursing home.

  19. Hi Goose!
Your pictures remind me of the Exodus history in the bible and how God led the people with a torch of fire...maybe it looked something like your mama's photos...that would be super cool!
    Much Love,
Mama Mindy of The Slimmer Pugs & Purrs

  20. Well Goose, I think you just might be the ONLY dog who likes thunder & lightening! Zeus, Lola & Tut all hide from it... and little Sophie sits on the couch and BARKS at it!

  21. HOLY COWS!! Those are pawsome shots your Moms got Goose!! So purty!!
Now, tell your Moms, no worries!!! She needs to take care of you furst, then whatever else she can. Tell her to gets some rest!! You can sit on her if you have to ya know....
    Ruby ♥

  27. Hey Dude, My Vickie says that she misses all the times the four of us got to go on walks but with both our humans running helter scelter all the time we need to grab what time we can get with them.
My Vickie says that I get to come and stay with you again one or two nights (however long your human can stand me and my midnight games of ball on her head)
I'll miss her, but you and I can have a great tiem.

  28. I think ur photos are neat! :) I also think ur Mom is neat for helping people.
