Guess these two guys watched over MOM in the cabin she stayed it.
MOM was in a place called Bear Lake. I love this place. MOM and I have had a few adventures up there. So I thought, she may have eyes watching over her, but what about food. What would she do?
But MOM said that was covered as well. Seems that food was not in short supply. They had every thing from the pig above, to chicken, and beef, they even had goat and lots and lots of Nigerian food that was, as MOM put it, "pretty fabulous." That beautiful young lady in the picture is Valerie, the bride.
While MOM was having a good time without me, as if that is possible, I did a lot of this.
She even got to get a way for a bit and hike almost to the top of that far peak. I know that mountain peak well. MOM and I hiked it 2 years ago. She did say it wasn't the same without me.
My buddy Bert made me feel better while I stayed at his place. We played ball and planed our next move to punk Allred.
MOM said she thought about me all the time especially when she watched the sun come up each morning.
Here's my MOM and the beautiful Chidinma Valerie Ahanonu. Valierie has always cracked me up. MOM and I agree she is just about the funniest person we know. You can't help but laugh and smile when she is around.
Val and Jesse gettin' hitched.
My MOM has known Valerie since Val was in the 2nd grade. Val grew up in our church and every year MOM would take the youth of our church to Bear Lake for a retreat. Oh the times they had there. And every year on the other side of the lake there was Jesse with his family. But Val and Jess would not meet until they both were in college at the University of Utah. So when friendship blossomed into love and the decision to marry it was a no brainer where to have the wedding, Bear Lake.
When MOM gets more organized I think I will show you more pictures.
But as I said my MOM is home now and when she picked me up from Bert's place and we got home there was 2 packages waiting for us on the door step.
One was my prize from Ruthie at the Blogvile Chronicles. It is this great book AND some yummmmy turkey, oatmeal and cranberry treats! I love love them. And the other was for my MOM. While she was gone I ordered her this picture of me drawn Bailey's mom. MOM was so very excited. It looks just like me. MOM is headed out tomorrow to get it framed. Thanks Bailey's mom, my MOM was thrilled.
Well friends I am off to spend some Goose and MOM time. I sure am glad she is back.
