A Spring Day

Well Spring is here.  I know because MOM's favorite flower is blooming, the violet.  Those tiny little blue/purple flower that find their home in flower beds, in the lawn, along paths.  Knowing that they are my MOM's favorite I decided to show her the one's in our yard.

These are for you MOM.  Come closer so you can see them real good.

Let's just stay here a moment or two longer and enjoy their beauty.

Then it was time to leave and go meet up with our friends at the fort.  Bert was going to be there and he was going to be allowed to be off leash.  And MOM and I had a special assignment.  We were to get our selves lost so a SAR dog in training could find us.  We've done this before and we LOVE it.  And this time my friend Shasta was going to join us.

This my friend Shasta

While we waited to be found I did a little exploring

Miss Lydia (from See Beautiful) this photo is for you

I hope they find us

Then Shasta and her mom headed to the river to go play with the other doggies while MOM and I stayed lost so we could be found

It was hard for me to watch Miss Brenda and Shasta leave us

Wait what is that?  It's the SAR dog.  She found us.  We are rescued!

What a great Spring day.  Make sure you get out with your peeps and enjoy the sights, sounds, and beauty of Spring.  And give thanks to God for these special moments.

Blessings,
Goose

  2. Ooooh... what Bart and Ruby said is rather profound!
Loved your post, Goose! And I love how you're holding feety-feet with your MOM. I love to do that with mine.
I keep taking my mom outside, but she won't let me do much walking. OK... we might have just walked a couple houses down the street so Darryl could rub my ears.... but don't tell my Vet! Mom said morale is really important and that I needed that. (Think the vet will buy into that line of reasoning?)
Anyway, Zim will make sure she goes on bigger adventures for sure.
    Luv,
    Dave

  5. Hey Buddy, I had such a great time today. I mean, I got to swim, I got to run and jump (but My Vickie was mad at that) and most importantly got to spend time with all my friends. Especially you Goose, I have missed running with you and Paster Michelle.

And on behalf of the dog teams you hide for. THANK YOU.....We all love you for taking the time to help with training.

  22. Woof to you Goose!!!! I love the picture of you that you dedicated to Ms. Lydia. And it was really nice to meet your friend Shasta - we look like we could be cousins. You and your MOM are really patient to wait around and be rescued - despite working I still have not mastered that virtue. XXOO - Mazzie

  28. Oh, GOOSE! WE LOVE it! Knowing you're out there, seeing and spreading so much beautiful through SAR and the many smiles you naturally bring to so many, we couldn't be more proud that you're rocking a See Beautiful tag. The pictures are so gorgeous and knowing your wonderful personality makes us beam!

P.S., Violets are a family favorite and remind me of my grandmother. It was special to see "see beautiful" and stop to remember her. really special. Thank you for that.
