I'm Forgiven

This morning started out great.  MOM made me an egg just the way I like it.  Then I took a short nap.  Then MOM wrestled with me.  I love when she does that.  She's pretty tough and can pick me up and throw me on the couch.  We wrestled on the couch, the bed, the floor.  It was tons of fun.  Then I was going for the double nelson reverse super hold and I whapped MOM right in the jaw.  Oooops.  As a result MOM has a cut across her lip and I knocked her bottom back tooth lose.  I thought I was going to be in trouble.  But she just looked up at me as she lay on the floor and said, "I weaved when I should have bobbed."  Then I licked her and licked her and lay across her chest, till she felt better.

Now because I smacked MOM I thought we would not go Hiking around the "Fort".  But we went and even though my buddy Bert is not cleared yet to come with me, MOM's friend Jenni came along with us.  So here are a few photos.
This is our friend Jenni.  I love it when she calls me Gooseberry.  Makes me smile.

It was a picture perfect day.

I even played in the water for a bit

I'm glad MOM is so easy to forgive me.  Even though I hurt her I was sorry and felt terrible.  I guess that is what it's like with God.  No matter if we hurt God, God is always ready to forgive and have mercy and take us back into his loving arms AND take us on an adventure.

  1. Great pics by Mom! To err is hooman, to furgive divine. It was just an assy-dent anyways. xoxo

  2. What a great day mate!s Take care of your mum! No more all-star-wrestling bol!

  3. So sorry about your Mom's toofer..hope it's not too loose! Remember, it was just an accident so don't worry! Loved your adventure pictures, looks like you had fun today! I had to take a stinkin' baff..or did I have to take a baff cuz I was stinkin'? BOL

  4. Hey Goose, that looks like so much fun you had. My Vickie let the dog walker take me for an easy walk. It was my first one since the surgery and I can't beleive how tired it made me.

I am pretty sure she won't let me swim for a few more weeks but I think I get to go for a walk with you on Friday and Saturday, but she says I have to stay on a leash.

Frankly, I am getting a little tired of looking at pictures of you running and playing. (and I mean that in a loving way)

I like your Jenni, she looks like fun and I am sorry about the lip smacking thing but I think your human is pretty good at forgiving so you got nothin to worry about.

    See ya later

  5. Phew Goose,

Lucky your Mum is forgiving - I'm guessing that hurt - hope she feels better buddy!! :)

Maybe she'll put a boxing helmet on next time? :)

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  6. Oh! Cinnamon whapped Mommy's face with her head the other day and BROKE one of Mommy's crowns! She had a fat lip and a black eye too! Yous dogs has to be more careful!
Kisses to yous and special purrs to your Mommy!

  7. Ouch! I've found that moms are about the most forgiving people of all. I heard that Dad forgave Blueberry for giving him two black eyes in one week when she was young, too. I guess you have to know who really loves you! ;)

  8. Mom hope you feel better soon! What a workout!

  9. Hope your mom feels better real soon! Forgiveness is divine! Love your pics with your friend!! You live in a beautiful area!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug

  10. Oh dear Gooseberry...You are also a wrestler... how many talents do you have? Hope your Mom isn't hurt to much and she is very nice not to blame you. I love your pictures - what a wonderful life for you in this beautyful country, with this nice friends (I hope that my love Bert is soon with you again) and with your wonderful MOM.
    Sealed with a kiss Charlotte

  13. BowWowZer! After reading your story and then these comments it looks like we are wayyyy too easy on our mommy and daddy. Sheesh, they whine when we accidentally scratch their precious skin!! Loose and borken teeth and black eyes...oh my!!! We think you are right on about how God is. Loving and always ready to forgive the repentant. Amazing grace! (Our mom's blog is called inamazinggraceland!!)

BTW, I tagged you on my blog today -- come on over to learn more :)

  15. wow goose your mum is wild daring to fight with you, i leave that to my husband to have play fights with stormy cos im too much of a girl and it hurts too much for me to dare. xxx

  16. Feels good to be forgiven. How ironic- I'm taking forgiveness today.

  17. Hope your mom feels better soon! and I agree with Snoopy - next time she should use a helmet..... I love your pics and it looks you had a very funny time .

  18. Awwwwe! I'm sure your Momma knows it was all in fun. I do hope she's okay though! Yep, she should have bobbed instead of weaving! You did have a picture perfect day for a walk. Love your pictures! :)

  19. You made an owie on your mom? Better be a little bit more careful.
That looks like a fun hike. Gooseberry??? Now that is funny.

  20. Goose, I knew your mom would not be mad at you but next time you better remind her to put in a mouth guard (and helmet). I would like to see a video of this wrestling! I liked your pictures. My mom and dad long for the day that they can take me and my brother for walks and splashes.

  21. How could anyone be mad at you, Goose? Mom's know that when they wrestle with us pups that accidents can happen!
We love the pix from your adventure. And that HAS to be the biggest stick in the WORLD that you're standing on!!!

  22. Poor Mom we hope she is ok. We knew she wouldn't be mad at you Goose.
What lovely photos of your latest walk around the fort.

  23. Yeppers......those wrestling accidents can hurt! Your poor mom. Hopefully, her will remember to "bob" at the appropriate time, next time!!

  24. What a gorgeous day for a hike with that nice lady! We love that name, Gooseberry too:) Hope Mom will heal quickly - we just knew she wouldn't be mad at you - those things happen when you are having fun:)

  25. Opps, I hope your Mom is feeling better.

  26. Awwww, I love Gooseberry!! Teehee!! Your mom is awesome to be so forgiving! :o)

  27. Hi Goose!

Your mom will always love you, no matter what! She knows you would never mean to hurt her. I hope her tooth get better soon. Thanks for visiting and wishing be well with my BIG black eye... I can actually open it today :]

Looks like you had a fabulous day playing around the fort. It sure was nice weather day for a romp outside!

    xoxo Bunny Jean

  28. So sorry to hear about your mom! Glad you still went on your adventure!! What a great day!!

  29. So sorry your mom got hurt, but it wasn't your fault, it was an accident!

  30. Hi Y'all,

Gooseberry! BOL!!! That is one big grin ear to ear you're sportin' there.

    Y'all come back now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  31. Gooseberry, that's funny! It makes me smile! You gotta be careful with those moves. Sometimes Buddy comes as us with such excitement we're laying on the floor before we even know what happened. I think that's how God feel sometimes too. When we run to him with all the excitement and love we have he rejoices with us, but with happiness so wonderful we can't even imagine. How beautiful!

    Happy seeing BEAU-T-FULL, Gooseberry!

  32. Oh, and, my computer has had a virus for a few days, so I've been limited on my ability to get on the web...thank heaven's that's fixed. How did we function before technology and great blogs entered our world?

    Happy seeing beautiful!

  33. What a clever blog title and a gorgeous dog! Love what ya got goin' on here!

  34. Ooooh dear poor Mom, hope she heals soon. Gorgeous walk and photos though :)

  35. God is certainly good at forgiving! Your day looked perfect after getting off to a bumpy start!
