Monday Romp

MOM was all set to do her ironing.  It’s her Monday thing.  She LOVES to iron, crazy I know.  So I jump on the couch and sit behind her as she ironed.  I really wanted to go play outside, not just outside in the yard but out outside and maybe see if my buddy Bert could come.  So I wined a little, OK a lot.  It worked!!  We went to play in the woods with Bert, and his Vickie.  OK we played, they just walked and talked.

While we waited for Bert to get there, I strolled along the river in the morning sun light.
And then I did some sprints to loosen up before the romping began.  At the end of the sprint I see Bert coming.  Woo Hoo
Let the romp begin.
Walkin’ along the river
Bert the poser. No wonder the girls love him so.
Hummmm. Should I cross over?  Maybe in the spring.

You know I love me a stick!

Stand back, coming through!

This stick seems to be stuck in the ground.

Silly Bert protecting his rock.
Guess it's time to turn back and head for home.
Great Monday!  I guess I'll let MOM do her ironing now, crazy woman.  And I'll rest up for later on.
Thanks Bert for coming with me.  It's aways a better walk with ya.
Blessings,
Goose

  3. Dear Goose
It's wonderful to join your blog and see you and my beloved Bert in this picture-post-card-landscape! We have no snow - not even few centimeters in East-Austria. My Animagi-Family in Tyrol can play and run through the white stars too but I've only your pictures... sniff sniff (Mom says I shouldn't lie because she knows that I don't like to become wet...)
Wish I could be with you both! Sealed with a kiss Charlotte

  6. Hi Goose, So glad you were able to get mom to go outside so you could play. Ironing can always wait but the sunshine might not last too long.
    Have a great afternoon.

  15. Wow, there something about Bert's poses that makes him so... regal. Maybe it's because of his golden brown oh-so-fluffy hair.

Well, you don't look bad yourself. I'm glad you had a fun time going out and enjoying the snow.

  20. Those pics are amazing! Kind of makes us miss UT! Glad you got in some good romps with Bert. Snow tastes good, right?! Hey, we have a question - do you get cold and do you have any sweaters or jackets or are you so tough that you don't need that stuff? Just wonderin'

  21. Wow Goose, you have snow AND a beautiful river! What a perfect day! When I was a younger dog, I used to love to swim in the Wisconsin River. My grandparents live right on the river and when we would visit them I would jump right in. Now, I just like to sleep along the banks.

  24. Hi Goose
Thanks for visiting my blog. I feel so so happy for that !
and sorry for my poor English ...
I'd love to give you an idea of my family:
We are 9 dogs (4 males and 5 females) and we live in a farm with mom and dad.
I'm the older, I'm 7 years old, and my father was a German Shepard and my mother a Serra da Estrela (portuguese bread) .
After me, it came Hugo (kind of Pointer) and Hera (the Husky) - the other 6 are born already in the farm, and they are Hera x Hugo puppies (now they are 5 years old).
I'm so happy you love my pictures...
I always come here to see you blog too and love your pictures ...

and i'm in love for Bert... but don't tell Charlotte ...

    Kisses
    IRIS

  26. That beats ironing ANY day of the week! It's so cool that you and Bert can hang together and have such great adventures. And seriously - thank you so much for offering to send us some of your snow! What a pal! Fortunately, we have an arctic front coming through tomorrow, so this horrid, horrid weather that has Dad out on the golf course today is going to come to a crashing halt. Whew! Yes, please send the snow - it should be ok now that it's going to get cold finally!!! THANKS!
Oh... and when you come running back to your MOM like that, do your breaks and steering ever fail and you run into her? I might have done that a few times in our backyard. Only to my mom. Ya know. Woo.
    Luv,
    Dave

that looks pretty fun. I am a little jealous that you get to hang out with a guy like Bert all the time and get to go on walks. What fun! Bark with ya soon.

  29. You're lucky to have such a great buddy in Bert! He seems to always be up for a good romp! Much more fun than ironing, in my book :)

You left a very interesting comment on my blog yesterday that led me to lots of thinking. You tend to do that to me, Goose. Thanks so much for your friendship.
