Monday Romp

MOM was all set to do her ironing.  It’s her Monday thing.  She LOVES to iron, crazy I know.  So I jump on the couch and sit behind her as she ironed.  I really wanted to go play outside, not just outside in the yard but out outside and maybe see if my buddy Bert could come.  So I wined a little, OK a lot.  It worked!!  We went to play in the woods with Bert, and his Vickie.  OK we played, they just walked and talked.

While we waited for Bert to get there, I strolled along the river in the morning sun light.
And then I did some sprints to loosen up before the romping began.  At the end of the sprint I see Bert coming.  Woo Hoo
Let the romp begin.
Walkin’ along the river
Bert the poser. No wonder the girls love him so.
Hummmm. Should I cross over?  Maybe in the spring.

You know I love me a stick!

Stand back, coming through!

This stick seems to be stuck in the ground.

Silly Bert protecting his rock.
Guess it's time to turn back and head for home.
Great Monday!  I guess I'll let MOM do her ironing now, crazy woman.  And I'll rest up for later on.
Thanks Bert for coming with me.  It's aways a better walk with ya.

  1. Love the flying ears in your video, Goose! You sure are fast! Looks like you and Bert had a fun time! I see you still have snow. Can ya send some up here to Ontario!

  3. Dear Goose
It's wonderful to join your blog and see you and my beloved Bert in this picture-post-card-landscape! We have no snow - not even few centimeters in East-Austria. My Animagi-Family in Tyrol can play and run through the white stars too but I've only your pictures... sniff sniff (Mom says I shouldn't lie because she knows that I don't like to become wet...)
Wish I could be with you both! Sealed with a kiss Charlotte

  4. Hey, Whats goin on with you and Charlotte? I'm startin to get a little jelouse.

  5. Looks like you had an excellent day! Such a beautiful setting!

  6. Hi Goose, So glad you were able to get mom to go outside so you could play. Ironing can always wait but the sunshine might not last too long.
    Have a great afternoon.
    Noreen & Reggie

  7. Such great fun you and Bert have - you are two very lucky pups.

Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  8. What's snow like?

We don't get it here!! Thanks for joining the hop! :)

  9. Brrrr....even looking at those photos makes us chilly! Doesn't look like its stopping you though- you guys are having a fantastic time.

Wish we could be there in the cold snow too!

  10. Beats watching human ironing any day..what a super time..never eat yellow snow though. I love your Gospel of Goose blog photo - how cool for your own doggie sermons. Happy New Year, Arooooofs from France.Zola

  11. Oh that looks like so much fun! Beautiful pictures too!

  12. For some reason Goose, I think that your buddy Bert is going to get you in the water this summer, and you're going to LOVE it as much as he does!!
The last picture of you and Bert is priceless, Friendship at its finest!!

  13. Goose, Thank goodness you saved your mum from ironing. She loves to iron?????????? Mum says you must stop her as often as you can till she regains her senses hehehe. Great walk with your buddy Bert. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  14. Yous and Bert looks like yous is having so much fun! And yous could come over and do my Mommy's ironing - she has somethings in the bag tht has been there for at least 3 years!

  15. Wow, there something about Bert's poses that makes him so... regal. Maybe it's because of his golden brown oh-so-fluffy hair.

Well, you don't look bad yourself. I'm glad you had a fun time going out and enjoying the snow.

    Huggies and Cheese,

  16. Please send some of that snow our way!

What fun to have walking buddies and great places to visit!

My mom irons sometimes too. She saves it all up though for movie night.

  17. Those boring chores can wait. Glad Goose convinced you to enjoy the beautiful walk!

  18. Oh wow..more fun running in the snow with Bert. You both are having so much fun.
Love the last photo of you both.

  19. We just love all of your pictures, but that last one is really something special!! How nice that the two of you can go and play together!!! Everything is better with a friend, yes?? The ironing will be there when you get back!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug

  20. Those pics are amazing! Kind of makes us miss UT! Glad you got in some good romps with Bert. Snow tastes good, right?! Hey, we have a question - do you get cold and do you have any sweaters or jackets or are you so tough that you don't need that stuff? Just wonderin'

    The Road Dogs

  21. Wow Goose, you have snow AND a beautiful river! What a perfect day! When I was a younger dog, I used to love to swim in the Wisconsin River. My grandparents live right on the river and when we would visit them I would jump right in. Now, I just like to sleep along the banks.

    Your pal, Pip

  22. Hi Y'all,

    Thanks for stoppin' by!

Wow that looks like a fun romp on a beautiful morn!

    Y'all come back now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  23. Wow, this looks like such a fun day! I'm so glad you and Bert had fun playing in the snow! You both have such a beautiful landscape to play around in... I'm so jealous! I can't wait to read more about your future adventures together and I hope that your Mom gets her ironing done haha!

  24. Hi Goose
Thanks for visiting my blog. I feel so so happy for that !
and sorry for my poor English ...
I'd love to give you an idea of my family:
We are 9 dogs (4 males and 5 females) and we live in a farm with mom and dad.
I'm the older, I'm 7 years old, and my father was a German Shepard and my mother a Serra da Estrela (portuguese bread) .
After me, it came Hugo (kind of Pointer) and Hera (the Husky) - the other 6 are born already in the farm, and they are Hera x Hugo puppies (now they are 5 years old).
I'm so happy you love my pictures...
I always come here to see you blog too and love your pictures ...

and i'm in love for Bert... but don't tell Charlotte ...

  25. Goose - it looked like you and Bert had sooooo much fun playing in the snow! I love snow, too!

  26. That beats ironing ANY day of the week! It's so cool that you and Bert can hang together and have such great adventures. And seriously - thank you so much for offering to send us some of your snow! What a pal! Fortunately, we have an arctic front coming through tomorrow, so this horrid, horrid weather that has Dad out on the golf course today is going to come to a crashing halt. Whew! Yes, please send the snow - it should be ok now that it's going to get cold finally!!! THANKS!
Oh... and when you come running back to your MOM like that, do your breaks and steering ever fail and you run into her? I might have done that a few times in our backyard. Only to my mom. Ya know. Woo.

  27. EVERYTHING'S better in the company of friends! Looks like a fantastic morning.

  28. hey Goose,
that looks pretty fun. I am a little jealous that you get to hang out with a guy like Bert all the time and get to go on walks. What fun! Bark with ya soon.

  29. You're lucky to have such a great buddy in Bert! He seems to always be up for a good romp! Much more fun than ironing, in my book :)

You left a very interesting comment on my blog yesterday that led me to lots of thinking. You tend to do that to me, Goose. Thanks so much for your friendship.
