Hello Friends.

As you know I was pretty sick and spent Sunday at the ER.  And even though they seemed to think I was knocking on deaths door they let MOM take me home.

MOM I don't feel so well.

But at least I am home with you.  And I can lay down again without the world spinning around me.  Then...

Morning dawned and it was a brand new day.

What a beautiful world.

Hey MOM lets go outside and play.  I feel fine.

First let me pause a moment and thank all of you for your good vibes, thoughts and prayers.  I have no doubt they played a roll in me feeling better.

But before MOM would come out to play she said she had to do the ironing.

I help.  It is my job to hold down the ironed clothes.  Yea I'm a pro. Been doing this for over 12 years now.

OK MOM laundry is done and other house stuff.  Can we play now?
I don't know Gooeee.  I think you should still rest.

If you don't play with me now, I am going to hold my breath until you do or I turn blue.

Haha.  Works every time.

Grrrrrr.  Cheeto you will be mine.  MOM can't hold on that long now that I have my strength back.

NOTE FROM MOM:  Goose is doing better.  He saw his regular vet on Monday and he has no idea either what was wrong with Goose.  Dr. Eddie looked Goose over and reviewed Gooses chart from the ER and he agreed that Goose was in a very bad way.  But they have no idea what the problem was, what caused it, or even why Goose is better. It's a mystery.  I'm just glad that he is better and continues to improve.  He's my furry miracle.  Thank you all again for your concern and prayers.  We greatly appreciate it and felt comforted during this whole thing.

  1. We were go glad to hear things have improved so drastically! We just so wish the doctor could come up with a DIAGNOSIS!! We will cross our paws that they sort it out and can prevent a recurrence! Stay well our friend!

    Your Pals,

  10. So very glad to hear this news! Oh Goose, we all just love you so much and need your chipper personality bringing joy to us. You rest and get well o.k. I think Hunter will be seeing his vet on Wed. He has to get a kennel cough shot but is acting like he has a bladder infection or something.

  20. Good grief Goose. What a scare you and your Mom both had. So glad you are feeling better! :) I googled high potassium levels and found some interesting information on LiveStrong and PetMD. These links may provide some insight/talking points for your vet that you may not have already had.

Keepin you and your Mom in my most positive thoughts.

    Waggin at ya,

  21. This is wonderful, a miracle! If you can make such a funny face, you feel really well! I think your mom and we would be really relieved if you got a diagnosis and effective treatment! This thing should not happen again, it was too scary! There might be some connection with your bleeding nose some weeks ago and this event - that remained unclarified, didn't it?

  22. Oh Gooseberry! I'm so glad you're feeling better. You had me really worried there. Your Momma must feel such a relief. I gotta say buddy, you cracked me up with the holding your breath thingy! LOL! Stay well my friend! :)

  23. Maybe you just wore yourself out with that most excellent post the day before. Glad you're back.

  24. It sure sounds like a medical mystery, but the most important thing is that you are better! Hopefully your mom is too. :)

  25. YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY GOOSE mom and I are so very happy to read you are feeling more like Goose and helping with chores. Sometimes those clothes that have been iron tend to be so full of steam they float away.

ps shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I wasn't supposed to tell you this but your Christmas pressie was purchased Saturday. It will be mailed today. so rest up to prepare for the fun of opening it.
    Hugs Madi your BFFF

  26. Thank Goodness,Goose! Glad you're feeling better but don't overdo it too soon.

PeeS....Just blame the whole thing on the squirrels!

  27. Hurray, Goose! So glad you are feeling better.

  28. Hi Goose & Mom,
We are so thankful too that our good furend is feeling much better. Goose, you had us all scared. Please don't over do it now buddy. We don't want that yucky feeling to come back again! We're still gonna continue keeping you in our good thoughts and prayers (which we do with all our blog buddies) but we're gonna put in some extra thoughts about you.

    Lily Belle & Muffin

  29. We are so glad to read you are doing better Goose - it always amazes Mom how quickly we doggies seem to get over things - she wishes people could do that. Stay strong Goose but don't over do it.

  30. Goose, I'm so glad you're feeling better today! Try to take it easy for a few days, even though I know it's tough to do!

P.S. You're already blue, so I don't think that threat about holding your breath is going to work too often!

  31. Goose,
I'm new around here, read about it on Mollie's.
Really nice to see you are better and out of danger.
I'll visit you more often now.

  32. glad you are feeling better Goose and we will all keep hoping and cross our fingers that it stays that way.

    Lots and lots of Love

    Charlene and Stormy

    Benny & Lily

  37. I'm so glad you are well again. Holding your breath is a very good trick and it's in my BAD IDEA CAT. now. Thanks for this great idea ;o)

  38. Happy to hear you are feeling better, my friend! Don't rush into some TV and rest! Maybe a plate full of treats to go with that....I'm just saying....

  39. OH MY DOG, Goose we are Sooooooooooooooooooo glad your OK, we were worried all night. Kinda sound like you might need a really large chew bone to fully recover, don't get carried away, you need to milk this as lone as you can, Heeheehee.

    Your furiends

  40. We are so relieved to read that Goosie is home and on the mend.
Sending lots of pawsative thoughts and wishes for a full recovery.

    The Thugletsx

  41. Oh Goose, I'm SO relieved you're feeling better! I was really worried about you. Power of the paw really works! Maybe you should relieve your momma's anxiety and confess about your eating something you weren't supposed to. A lot of human vitamins and stuff can really play wonky on our systems, but they're so tempting when they fall right on the floor!

  42. We are SO HAPPY to read this pup-date!!! Goose, we don't know what happened, but we are SO thankful that God heard our prayers! It's GREAT to see you up and feeling so good!
God is so good. We are so blessed to have our buddy Goose up and running again!

  43. Definitely a furry miracle!!! Glad he is better and up and playing! I hope it continues!!

  44. Well, I must say you look so much better Goose. But it bothers me that the Vets do not know what it was, sure hope it never comes back whatever it was!

  45. Oh Goose you are in my prayers. Sickies are no good and you have had your share lately. Now it is time for you to feel better and stay better.
    Thanks for being a friend
    Sweet William The Scot

  46. I can read posts like this every day. This is the kind of news that invites a whole lotta seeing beautiful into the world. You remain in my prayers.

Sending see beautful thoughts your way!

  47. Aw Goosy boosey moosey pooh we are so glad you are fine and that the vet didn't find anything to moan about! We are so happy! And for your mom too!
We hope to read many many posts on your travels and adventures!
Lots of love sent your way, from Indigo and Malach, Neo the cat (although reluctant to sending his love to a dog, we managed to convince him)and from our mom and dad!

  48. Hey Goose,

I'm so sorry you were so ill buddy!! What a rapid recovery you pulled out of the bag - you rock!!

I love that pic when you're holding your breath, you're too funny!!

    Stay well and have fun,

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  50. Great News Goose,

God is good and we thank him.

    Sheila, Bob and Hamish

  51. I'm so happy to know you are fine now, Goose ! we are so relieved !!

  52. I totally empathize - I had a very similar experience with my little 6 year old chi-terrier mix recently. One Friday when I got home from work she was absolutely fine, ate as usual, but then all of a sudden a couple of hours later, I looked at her and she was crouched down, wouldn't move, just staring at me in fear, and was struggling to breathe. I grabbed her up and drove the 20 miles to the ER. They did all kinds of tests - she also started having dreadful diarrhea there - and though there were some slightly weird blood readings, could never really say what was wrong. She was there until Sunday, and I was soooooo scared; I would take over homemade chicken and rice, and she wouldn't touch it. And she was just so pitiful and weak. Our best guess is she might have eaten something bad in the yard. Anyway, $1,400 later, she was back to normal! Glad you're better, too, Goose!

  53. Oh my Goose, what a scary night! We are so glad you are better. We just put our little paws together and thanked the Lord. We love reading your posts. I LOL when I read that you were going to hold your breath until you turned blue cuz that's my threat at well and it works every time. Lady Caroline Lamb(I'm named after Lord Byron's sweetie-pie)

  54. So happy to hear Goose is doing better! That must have been so scary for you! The high potassium level made me think immediately of Addison's Disease, and I'm sure your vet has already considered that or ruled it out. I hope Goose continues to improve!

    Susan and Wrigs

  55. Goose, I am so happy you are better that I am doing zoomies all over the house! Mommy was away from the puter for a few days, but we thought about you and prayed for you every day. I hope you never get that mystery illness ever again, cause it is way too scary to have you be sick. Take it easy a little until you are all better.

    Loveys Sasha

  56. Glad to hear he is better but bummed that there is no reason as to why it happened :(

Stop on by for a visit
