And His Name Is

I noticed my Buddy Bert on his blog, Bert's Blog said you would have to come here to see what my MOM named the Moose her and Miss Vickie saw when they went on a little adventure without me and Bert.  But before we get to that, let me show you some more pictures of what they did and saw.

You can bet MOM will be fishing here next time WE go

And some more fishing will be done here.  My MOM LOVES fishing.  It is one of her passions.  While she fishes I look for sticks.

There was this cool bird.  But I don't know what it is.

Everything is just turning green and beautiful

There were deer

And more deer

Another fishing spot and more deer

A Turkey.  yummmmmm turkey

A Grouse.  Droooool grouse

And now what you all have been waiting for,  I present to you.....

Bandit

Can you see why MOM named this guy Bandit.  It's like he is wearing a mask.  Maybe he is a Super Hero Moose

And here's one more shot of him.  I only had like 87 hundred pictures to choose from of him.

MOM said Bert and I get to go next time.  An I also need to work on "Moose Manners."  I think that means, no chasing, no barking, no sudden moves.  If it means I get to go I think I can do it.

And less you forget what I look like here's a shot of me below.

MOM plays softball on Thursday nights.  She loves it.  I usually don't get to go with her cuz I do not like it when she is on the field and I have to stay behind the fence.  Don't know why I can't play to, I'm real good at catching a ball.  But she put my harness on me and there were plenty of people who wanted to hold me.  I still didn't like not being right with her.  But when she was in the dugout I got to go in there and give her my assessment of how the game was going.  I even cheer real loud for our team.  I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.
Blessings,
Goose

  4. Know your moose manners! Very important to keep your distance. They are very dangerous, able to run fast like horses & will stomp!

  7. Oh Squirrel... I thought fur sure it was gonna be Bullwinkle.
Now that bird looks like an EASTERN Blue Bird to me. Butt since I can't tell a Bandit from a Bullwinkle.. take that guess with a grain of salt. I'm just sayin.

  8. That is a great name, Goose. We almost name Phantom Bandit because he had a mask, but he lost it as his face grew. Good thing too because we don't think the name fits him at all. Hope you get to go to that beautiful place soon, but watch your manners:)

  12. Hi Goose, Your mom takes wonderful photos! Of course I love Bandit; I didn't love them until I saw them up close and personal and then my heart beat fast and I was hooked. He is so cute. I can understand why you wanted to help your mom play baseball, she could have scored big time if you stole the ball. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hunter says hi, he is tuckered out from riding shotgun during our garage sales.

  13. Bandit?!? That's perfect!
Is that little birdie a swallow? It looks like one to me. We have them here in our fields/prairies and they swoop and fly real low, like they're dive-bombing. I think they're really cool.
Those look like great fishing spots for your MOM. What does she catch?
Great pix, Goose! We love seeing the beautiful wildlife in your neck of the woods... AND seeing YOU! (For the record, I think you'd make an awesome left-fielder.)

  14. That is a good name for the moose! I think getting moose manners might be hard but maybe it is easier for an adult dog. I sure hope so for your sake! Our peeps were thinking of taking us to some of those games so if you are there we can play!

    Your friends,

    Murphy & Stanley

PS - Are there bad mosquitoes at the ball park?

  16. Hi Y'all,

Stoppin' to say "hello" and wish you and yours a Happy Mother's Day tomorrow. A special Mom's day to your mom.

Wow, I didn't notice that mask in Bert's pic. Cool Moose! Your bird looks like a barn swallow. Blue birds are lighter blue and have white below the red blush on the breast. The way the bird is sitting, although head on, looks more like the barn swallow. Also, your bluebirds out there look totally different than an Eastern blue bird though they look similar head on.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Y'all come by now,

  19. We wish Bandit a long, healthy life of not getting shot. Those looked like good, splinter-free sticks your mom brought you. Bet you'll find lots more when you get to go next time.

  21. What a beautiful walk the Moms had.....how amazing to see such a selection of wildlife. My Mom goes looking for it too, but so far the only thing she has seen alive is some squirrels.

  22. Goose, I think you could write a children's book about Moose and Goose and adventures of the Super Hero Moose and Stick Finding, Seeing Beautiful Goose. Maybe the Groose could be in it? A turkey too? I just think I could read more and more about your adventures. You have a really great way with words.

P.S., I'm glad you got to play in the dugout with MOM! Happy Mother's Day to her.
