Stick Friends

Hello Friends.

Yesterday my pack friends gathered for a little adventure at the river.  As you may know I am at a stage in my life I am no longer can join them.  Don't worry friends it's OK it's just apart of life.  I told my MOM to go ahead and go without me, it would be OK.  Then I suggested that she should take Bert's mom.  Not Miss Vickie butt Bert's K-9 mom.  See when Miss Vickie heard that those who had Bert's mom decided to get rid of her because she was no longer "useful" she rushed right over and brought her back home to her Golden Boy Bert.  And now she is living the life every dog should live.  My MOM agreed to take Momma on the pack walk.

This is Bert's Momma.  Isn't she beautiful?  Yes she is.  And she was so happy that my MOM took her on the pack walk.

Butt I gotta say friends I was a little worried about something.  See when we go on our walks I am the one to save the sticks.  Butt now that I am unable to go on these adventures I just kept wondering what would happen to all those sticks in need of rescue.  When MOM got done with the walk and picked me up from Bert's place she had a surprise for me.  Want to see what it is?

Is that just wonderful?!!!  My friends, led by my buddy Bert, have picked up where I left off.  They are rescuing STICKS!  MOM said every time someone saw a stick in need they would jump right in and all the others would cheer him or her on saying, "Do it for Goose!"  I gotta say when I saw all my friends saving sticks in my honor I got a tear in my eye.  I love you guys.  The only thing that could be better is if I could be there with you all.

Now I can sleep better at night knowing that my work continues through all of you.  I could not ask for better friends.
Blessings,
Goose

It is truly wonderful that Miss Vickie saved Bert's mom. And, it's so generous of you to share your mom so that Bert's mom could go on the hike.

Lots of love to you, Mr. Generous Goose.

  23. That was super nice of you to let your mom take Bert's mom on the adventure! Looks like you taught your buddies very good stick skills!!! We also just read the post about the pet area at the new shelter. That is so awesome it made our eyes leak. You and your mom do such good things for others. You inspire us more than you'll ever know!

  24. Hi Y'all!

Oh Goose, Bert's mom is gorgeous!

You do have wonderful friends! You are so very lucky! Most of us have only acquaintances, no real true friends.

    Y'all come on by,

  25. We are so happy that Bert's mom is now living with her boy. How sad that they didn't think she was "useful" any longer. She looked like she had a fun time helping rescue all those sticks.

  27. What caring, wonderful friends that understand the need for your mission to continue! Momma watched a TED video once on changing the world. The Speaker maintained that it was the second follower that made the difference between a movement and just a crazy action. One one person does something (like you) it is a great noble action and then when one person joins them (like Bert) they are the engines springing to life but when the second follower joins in things move forward. Goose, your legacy will be as the pup who saved the sticks! The world will know!
