So on Sunday it was "Bring Your Dog to Worship". As some of you know at my MOM's church every 3rd Sunday everyone is invited to bring us, the dogs, to church with them. Actually people can bring us anytime they want. But the 3rd Sunday is specifically designate. Some of my friends came.
Murphy and Stanley were there.
Bert and Annie came.
There were other doggies too. So where was I?
I did a little something like this. Yep I stayed home and took a nap.
When MOM got home I then patrolled my yard. See that Kitty Kat on the other side of the fence? I just wanted to say hello.
(MOM says ignore the trash on the other side of my fence. They are building a new subdivision in my wonderful field behind my house and there is always this trash. We go out every other day and pick it up. Guess what we are doing tomorrow?)
Then he started to spit and growl at me. I told the kitty that if he was going to spit at me he could not come in my yard.
Right after this photo was taken (yes he was spitting at me again). That cat jumped up on the top of the fence AND then lunged at me! I was totally taken off guard.
As a result I got a cut on both sides of my nose and one just below my eyes.
Moral of the story:
I should have gone to church.
Blessings,
Goose
Oh Goose. I am so sorry. Yes, I think that is the moral of the story. Maybe you can sit with Bert while your MOM is busy. I really hated seeing those scratches on your nose. I send you 87 kisses.
ReplyDeleteOh, Goose! Your poor sweet, sad face in that final photo. I know your momma will give your wounds plenty of healing kisses.
ReplyDeleteLet us start by apologizing for this kittehz, sweet Goose. We can't believe he was so unfriendly. He obviously should have been in church, too! Hope your boo-boos feel better soon. XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteOh Goose!! We're sending healing kisses to your gentle face.
ReplyDeleteBart, Ruby and Otto
The audacity of that CAT Goose!! Goodness, you were just trying to be friendly and then he has the spunk to not only be angry at you, but also jump on your side and smack you around?! Pft...make sure you show him next time!!! Grrrrrr!!! I'm sure you were missed with your Mom anyways!
ReplyDeleteOMD that is one mean cat. Goose let me come over and duff him/her up on your behalf. Grrr I'll show that kitty. Hope your snout is OK today. Sending healing paw.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly

ReplyDeleteOMD - really?! Most cats I know woulda run off after the hissin' and spittin' bit. Clearly this one thought he was a panther. Invading your territory like that; the audacity.

ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
What a meanie kitty cat! (and big too!)
ReplyDeleteOh nose Goose, how could that mean ol'e kitty do that to you! He must be a new cat in town and doesn't know that you're the most loving dog around. (Personally, I would have given him something to cry about!)
ReplyDeleteWe hope that you're gonna be OK.
Hugs,
Lily Belle
Oh Goose, we are so very sorry that cat was so mean to you. We think HE is the one who should be going to church to seek forgiveness for hurting you. We hope your snooter heals quickly. Lightning came in from his morning trip outside with a cut by his eye. He was the only one out so Mom isn't sure what happened, but maybe he caught it on the fence.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Monday.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Woof! Woof! Oh Goose. You got to be extra careful. I wish there's a church here like your mom's. Be Safe. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

ReplyDeleteMillie
Oh no Goose.
ReplyDeleteHope you can get some rest and feel better soon.
Call the blogville police, let um know there is a crazy kitty on the loose.
xo Cinnamon
Sorry Brother but I must laugh about the moral of the story. That's really a CATastrophe, your poor nose, hope you are well soon. That must be a a kitty from a service academy, because she thought: offence is the best defence.... You should place some ice(cream) on your nose, that could be helpful :o)
ReplyDeleteOh noes Goose, I've scratched by kitties before now, they can be very mean. Hope your nose heals soon
ReplyDeleteOh Goose! That kitteh should go to church and put some love in his heart! But I hear you...my head hurt so bad yesterday, I ate breakfast and took a nap too!
ReplyDeleteOh Goose! Bad Kitty to hurt you like that. We would love to go to your church.
ReplyDeletehugs
Bailey, Hazel & Greta
Bless your heart Goosie!!! That bad pussy cat....maybe he should have gone to church and learned a lesson or two!
ReplyDelete~Higgins
OMD, we cannot believe that cat attacked you like that! Was it crazy? Sheesh, not even safe in your own backyard! Yes, you should have come to church. You can sit on the front pew and watch your mom. BTW, when you first referenced the cat you scared it's cuz we thought you meant a black cat with a white stripe. You are just unlucky with cats!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals Who Went To Church And Were Not Attacked,
Murphy and Stanley
Just proves my point that no C.A.T can be trusted and must be chased up the nearest tree. Poor Goose - that was one mean C.A.T
ReplyDeleteThat cat was crazy or on something or both....geeze louise, i wish your church was closer cos we would come every sunday!!!!
ReplyDeletestella rose
Watch out for those cats!
ReplyDeletebein kittehz R selves...may bee we will just say...sorree goose....guess de kitteh doez knot like de construction junk either huh....
ReplyDeleteI think the moral of the story is that your MOM should've taken you to church instead of abandoning you at home so you could be attacked! What a mean mom!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the cat needed to go to Church.
ReplyDeleteMy hoomin likes to go to church. I will ask if I can go!
ReplyDeletePoor Goose! I'm sorry that cat had such bad manners; I love all God's creatures but don't especially like cats(they give me asthma). I hope the scratches heal quickly. Hope you had a great day today. BTW, the snow is back again-I'd like you to keep it please. However I am headed to warm Ca. so will enjoy some sunshine there.

Tail Wuggles, Rubie xxx
Oh my gracious, Goose! Attacked by a cat?!?! I'm so sorry. I guess that's a great moral of a story that going to church is a pretty safe place to be...though I find myself wondering, if the cat had gone to church too would the little one of done the same? My gracious! I hope you're healing friend, I know you were just trying to be friends.
ReplyDeletePoor you! Bad kitty.
ReplyDeleteGod can change your life Goose and it was never more true than in this post. Going to church would have saved you from that cats wrath.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog
Sweet William The "Scot
Goose, you old reprobate. I hope that cat taught you a good lesson. And that you stay away from cats. They're evil.
