Fishing with MOM

Hello Friends.

Yesterday I went fishing with my MOM.  Fishing has always been a passion of my MOM's.  But until recently, my backpacking trip in Idaho, I had no idea how great fishing can be.  Now it is a passion of mine.

We start out with me on one side of the small pond and MOM on the other.  Not sure why.  I just like to asses the conditions by taking a couple of laps around the pond.

Me and MOM fishing together.  I am watching her cast out her line.

I like to blow a few bubbles in the water.  It seems to attract the fish.

And it worked.  But it swam away so fast it kicked up some mud on the bottom of the pond and I could not grab it.

The water was so clear that I could see the fishes swimming by.  Little did they know that I was a fishing dog.  Their mistake.

We also took a walk through the Aspens.

It was a beautiful day.

And check out this momma and her two babies.

I also like to roam through the cattails.

I think this would be a good fishing spot too.  Fish like to hide in the vegetation   Just a little free tip for ya all.  They are also easier to catch in this stuff.

We saw even more deer.  There were lots of mommas out with their babies.

And this is a moose family, a momma, dad, and baby.

The mountains are still as beautiful as ever.

But the real beauty for me is fishing with my MOM.

Blessings,
Goose

  7. We're sorry Goose that you didn't get to catch any fish! But you're right, just spending time with Mom is the bestest!! Your pictures are really cool. We love seeing all the animals with the babies. We got lots of deer here in our yard but no moose. Oh and the color of your trees ~ amazing! Really nothing happening with ours as of yet.

  10. My favorite picture is of your reflections. It's like you've captured "good stuff" of being together. The environment is gorgeous, and you don't take it for granted, but as you say, the "best" part of it all is you and your MOM.

If you teach a Goose to fish... (just makes me smile)

We (as in dad and the grandmonsters and sometimes mom) love to go fishing around here, as mom says tho, "we would starve if we had to live on what they caught"...Dad just tells her its the adventure....the pictures were very beautiful with all the animals, and colored leaves. 23. Woo, Goose! You have beautiful colors there already! I love those Aspen trees and all the wildlife! Mostly, I like the pix of you and your MOM because you're together. You and your MOM. I love that kind of thing.
So ... you mentioned she was casting out a line. Does that mean she can't just reach in and grab a fishie like you do? You should teach her! How cool would that be?!!?
Thanks for taking us fishing. What a beautiful outing!

  28. Yep, it was a great evening wasn't it. I liked going with My Vickie and looking for moose, but it was triple fun when we all went hiking around the big lake and I got to swim and then we met John and Trigger and it was a great time for us dogs. My Vickie says that you and me smelled kinda swampy though when we were through and today in the van, it was really stinky. Oh well, ya gotta take the bad with the good. right.....

  29. Beautiful pictures. Sounds like a wonderful day together. You call them Aspens and around here we call them Poplars. They are the trees where the grouse hide. But your trees are much bigger than the ones around here. :)

  30. Goose, your photos are beautiful - love those scenic ones. But the best ones are the ones of you and Mom just being there together. What a fun time for you and Mom.

  32. Oh Goose you live in a beautiful spot. I had four deer in my yard last night and I live in a populated area. Love all those cattails. Lee was scoping some along side the highway for a fall porch decoration. Then she thought she would probably be fined if she cut some. Good luck catching the fish.
    Thanks for being a friend
