Bandanna Squirrel

Before I get to the squirrel some of you have asked about our fires.  It's true that we have several, last check we have 10 wild fires going on right now.  So far this year we have had 405 fires and of that 390 have been human caused.  Some bigger than others.  Some are further away from me than others.  But there have been two fires recently at a place that me and my friends like to play, the Fort.  Here is what some of the Fort looks like.
Don't let my happy face fool you I am very said about this, especially since this was caused by carelessness and foolishness.

Now to happier things------------------------>

So there I was minding my own business.  Just kicked back taken a little snooze when who should walk up to me?  A squirrel!  That's right friends, a squirrel.  And not just any squirrel, but a big, red, bandanna wearing squirrel.

So I just pretended to be asleep, all the while plotting my next move.  Then BAM!

Got ya.  Ya Bret Michael's want-a-be squirrel.

Let me show you what you do to a bandanna wearing squirrel.  Pay attention now.

First give him your "you'll be sorry you walk into my living room" snarl.

Then go for the ear.

Then rip his freaky yellow furs from his head

Make sure you always keep his nose pinned to the ground

And keep giving him the snarl and growl.  Grrrrrrrrrrr

Finally find a stick and start a fire, it's shish kabob time!

Dinner is at 7.  BYOB&C (Beer and Cheetos).

Blessings,
Goose

  1. Wow, Goose...piggies can't go near you.

That photo with you licking your face is super cute. Make sure you have more beer and cheetos. I'm sending you some Vancouver rain. We don't need it here :)

    I'll be back,

  2. I wish I could hit "share" in blogger like on Facebook and you could have the cool weather and all this rain! It might help with all those fires! So very sorry about your fort. I bet you are very sad. It looks pretty bleak right now, but new green growth will start to appear and though it may change the way things look, your fort will in a sense be re-born. Unlike that squirrel...I think you did him in pretty good! GRRRRR

  5. That is a lot of carelessly caused fires! Hope they catch those responsible!

Re Mosquitos not biting stressed people- could be true for me! I have been suffering TMJ for a few months now, one cause of which is stress. I don't feel particularly stressed but I am quite a Type A & doing way too much at the moment. At least the skeeters aren't bothering me!

Photos of Goose are calming and sweet as always. What a wonderful dog!

  8. WaaahROO Goose.. YOU DA DAWG!! YOU DA DAWG!!! I hope you plan to put THIS Gem into the De-Stuffing Event!!! YOU DA MAN!!!

I'll bring a couple of ground moles to add to the SHISH KA Squirrel.

  9. Poor little red squirrel. but heres the question. How long did the de stuffing take? I think we could get on a little competition here. You know....a bag a cheetos to the dog who can destuff the fastest without swallowing.

Man I had a chance at this competition until the "Not Swallowing" stipulation was said.

    Never mind.

Had a great time last night on the walk.....you are right, we gotta get my vickie out in the heat more.

Wow, you did a perfect job of bashing that squirrel! He thought he was so cool in that bandana, but not so. Your snarly faces are to howl for! BWAR HAR HAR. I'm sure you scared the stuffing right out of him.

  13. I saw the seriousness in your eyes at the Fort, Goose. It is sad that carelessness can destroy so much. Your Bret Michaels squirrel made me laugh out loud. Your facial expressions were very good at conveying your thoughts. I could absolutely tell that's what you were thinking. Good direction giving!

P.S., I think someone took your MOM's parking place - we're wondering on See Beautiful today. ;)

  17. Way to go Goose! Freddie was just watching a black squirrel that was taunting him this morning sprawled out on a light post in front of our house. I'll have to show him your pictures so he knows how to "deconstruct" Mr. Squirrel! LOL!

  20. The fires and all that destruction are so sad and so scary. And so much the worse to think that some are due to human stupidity.

Lightning is watching your demonstration very closely - he thought he had his technique perfected - but he has found quite a few good pointers from you.

  21. Hi Goose, You are one tough dude you know! Now if we could stop careless folks from being so reckless and starting fires. Here in Colorado, it seems that they've all been from lightning or wind catching a spark. Hunter has figured out how to get rid of hard noses on his stuffies-so now I have to buy them with soft noses-stitched on.
    Have a great evening.

  22. Oh you showed that squirrel. Sorry to hear about the fires. We had a forest fire near our cabin last year (caused by carelessness we think). It was close, but luckily did not jump the fire line. I have been watching the weather near our cabin all week because there have been fire weather warnings and it is so hot. I can only imagine what the people out your way and all over the west are going through. Prayers for all affected.
