Fun Birthday Contest & Olympics

I have a new friend named Dusty.  And soon it will be his birthday and he is going to celebrate in a BIG way.  To celebrate Dusty's 1st birthday, on the 27th July, He has decided to do a competition! To enter, do a blog post with your favorite picture of your doggie (or whatever else) included. The winner will receive an original hand drawn picture of your entry! It will either be in graphite or pastel, whatever the winner chooses. Entries must be in by the 27th June.  You can click on Dusty's name up there to get all the easy peezee details.

Hopefully by now you know about the Blogville Olympics.  I am hosting the STICK event.  Being that I am an expert with sticks it only seemed natural to host this event.  I will have two categories. The first is SINGLES Stick Carry.  An athlete will demonstrate his or her stick carrying ability.  See example below.

This is me.  You can either carry a stick while standing on your paws or laying on your tummy.  As long as it's you and a stick.

Next is the TEAM Stick Carry.  As this suggest it's an event that involves a stick with you and a friend, or two or twelve friends.  Examples below.

I will start accepting pictures for the STICK event on July 9th.  The deadline for entries is July 18th midnight mountain standard time.  All athletes are welcome, dogs, birds, crabs, cats, lizards, ostrich, ANYONE.  So start practicing your STICK skills and get taking those pictures.  And now a word from the Olympic Committee:

THE OLYMPIC Committe MUST INSIST that All ATHLETES be ENTERED by Midnight July 18th.  in order for the athlete to be SCREENED fur Bugs.       The Peep Athletes have to be Screened fur DRUGS... butt WE of Blogville are above that!    However, we gotta be sure that no Fleas get in...          Complain to FRANKIE if you don't like the deadline. 

As we get closer to July 9th I will give ya all my addy as to where to send those STICK photos.  So get out there and find a stick!

Home At Last

After what seemed like 87 days my MOM came home from Colorado.  I know she has to go because of her work but I really missed her.  But now she is home and as promised she brought me some gifts.

MOM brought me home my "Puddles" beer (In-Heat Wheat) and that really cool yellow and green Ruff Dawg Stick.

Oh that stick in wonderful.  It is tuff, non-toxic and it floats!  I plan on sharing that with Bert.  If it goes in the water he will get it back for me.

And look at this.  MOM got a Ursula Dodge print.  It looks just like me.  And at the top is says "fearless exuberant loyal aristocratic headstrong loving sensitive protective".  MOM says that is a pretty good description of me.  At the bottom it says "weimaraner".  That for sure is me.


But you want to see the best thing that MOM brought home for me? 

My MOM.  That's all I really wanted.  

This is all I need.  Oh sure the gifts were great and I really like them, but nothing beats having my MOM home.

All is right with the world.  I plan on staying right here for a day or two.
