Wordless

Hey All

I know I said wordless but I need to tell you something.  You know my pal Bert and you may know that Bert has a kitty roommate named Allred.  Some of you know him as Devil Cat and Satan.  Well, poor old Allred crossed The Rainbow Bridge on Monday.

Allred wondered into Bert's place about 10 years ago and took over the place striking fear in all pups.  He was one brave cat to walk into a place that has 25 or more dogs.  But he did and we ALL RESPECTED him, especially Bert.

Yea sure Bert looks like he fears for his life in this photo, and he should, but we all are going to miss that Allred.  Bert's Vickie is heart broken and I know deep down Bert is too.  I am sure he is at the gate at The Rainbow Bridge just whapping doggies as they walk through, but that was his thing here on earth and I know he will continue up there.  Til we meet again Allred.

Blessings,
Buddy

See Beautiful

Hey All.

It's that time for This Moment See Beautiful.

Seeing Beautiful is spending an evening with your best pal as the sun sets.

And enjoying a sunset swim.

No matter where I am, morning, noon, or night when I am with my BFF, I always see beautiful.  Best pals bring out the beautiful in us and we just can't help but spread the love and beautiful.

Blessings,
Buddy

Kayaking

Hey All!

I know, I know, I have been away for a while.  But the momma is so so busy with work at the shelter and at church and she is spending a lot of time at Furever Friends Animal Oasis to help them get up and running that there is not enough hours in a day to do all she wants to, which includes blogging.  But we do think of ya all often.  One thing momma makes sure of is that I am happy and healthy and any "free" time we spend together.  And earlier this week momma took a whole day off so she could take me and Bert to Gooses Rock to have fun and to try out a new way for us to spend time together.  Let me show you.

KAYAKING!!!!

Bert and I were so excited to be our in our special place we were no help at all in carrying the kayak to the water.  We just sprinted ahead to play in the water.

Here we are at Gooses Rock.  My Angel Brother Goose loved this place and it hold a special place in my momma's heart.  What better place to start a new adventure.

And up I go.  This should be good.  Momma was sure that it would be a very wet day for her.  Not sure why she would think that.

Oh look over there.  Bert is splashing around in the water.  I had a hard time deciding what to do, stay with momma or go join Bert.

Guess what I decided?   Hehehehhehe.  This is why momma thought she would get wet.  hahahhaha.  But to the old girls credit she stayed in the kayak.

Meanwhile I swam back to my pal Bert.  It seems he has found a rock that I must check out.

Not to worry I spent time with momma on the water both in the kayak and swimming along side her.  I loved swimming by my momma's side.

And even more fun was jumping from high places into the water and swim out to my momma.  I did this over and over.  I think I am going to like this kayaking thing.

Then an amazing thing happened!  A moose came down to the water to get a drink and take a swim.  Do you see her in the upper left corner?

Isn't she beautiful?

My momma thought she would paddle a little closer to her (she is crazy like that).

What my momma did not know is that I started to swim after her.  I mean I must protect her if something happens, right?  When momma finally saw me coming (thanks to Miss Vickie yelling at her that I was coming to her and the moose) she did some pretty fancy moves in the kayak to keep me away from the moose.  Sheeeshhhhh, I just wanted to say hi.

Miss moose got out of the water at Gooses Rock and watched as momma got me in the kayak to paddle away.

Safe back in the kayak and head in the opposite direction I kept a close eye out incase miss moose wanted to join us.

When we got to the other side Bert decided he wanted a ride.  I thought he would tip my momma in the water with his mighty lead in.

Since I am an expert kayaker now I was giving Bert instructions on what to do.  Momma said she could handle it and I could go take a break on shore.  I think it was her way of saying I was no help.

I think they might have gone in the water without my instructions.  What you don't see in the photo how much Bert was shaking.

And there you have it.  This is going to be a wonderful way for me and my momma to spend time together.

Blessings,
Buddy

I hope we can get back to regular blogging.  But I know that there is much work to be done at the homeless shelter and at Furever Friends.  And that is ok.  My momma makes sure that I come first and we walk everyday, and try to have an adventure once a week, and we snuggle at night and I have as many treats as I want.  I told momma that maybe our goal should be that we post once a week until things calm down.  We'll see how that works out.
