Today when MOM went to the mail box she came back with, guess what? A PACKAGE FOR ME! I am becoming quiet popular with our postal carrier. He's a great guy. If I am home and he delivers the mail we RACE each other down the length of the front of my property. It starts with a stare down. Then he revs his engine, grips the wheel, gives me the nod. And we are off! Someday I'll get MOM to get a video of that. But for now lets take a look at what I got.
It's from my friend Jazzi!!
A little while a go Jazzi had a contest to guess how much she weighed. I know you should never guess how much a lovely lady weighs, but she asked. And I guessed right. Whewww, it could have been disastrous.
Oh My Dog! You are not going to believe it!
It's a POPSICLE!
Nom Nom. Oh this is just perfect! Thank you so much Jazzi! It is so hot here and it is just the refreshment I need.
Can you see my beautiful mountains to the East through the thick smoke? Yep, we have another wildfire. It's about 45 or 50 miles away from us.
The smoke is so thick I just might have to start wearing a mask to filter out all the smoke.
But even with the "ugliness" of the smoke, it gives us a beautiful sunset to the East.
But that's like life sometimes isn't it? Out of the unpleasant and even destructive things, beauty emerges.
Blessings,
Goose
Goose, you are so smart to guess Jazzi's weight right. And a popsicle. I bet that was just about perfect today, add that and a sunset in the east and you have, well, a world gone crazy. Haha ...get it......
ReplyDeletesee ya in the morning
Bert
This is what the the smoke has done to my brain. East is West. Up is down. And I love Allred. Of course I now know the sun set in the West. I was just seeing if anyone paid attention.
DeleteYou got a Popsicle in the mail?! Mom has been keeping things from me! You are one lucky guy!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, sometimes it takes a little hardship to see the beauty around us!
Bunny
I wasn't going to say anything about the sunset to the East, but since Bert mentioned it I guess I can add my giggle about it to my comment too. You are lucky you won that Popsicle even if you had to guess a ladies weight. I love the picture of you in the mask, but I hope you don't really need something like that. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Precisely what our Mommy said about the storms here. We hope they get those fires out soon. Mommy worries about the impact on the wildlife. Happy Tuesday, furriends, and enjoy that popsicle!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you liked it Goose. Normally girls dont like to talk about their weight but those things dont bother me, well...not since it is only 19 lbs BOL
ReplyDeleteKeep safe Goose!!

Jazzi
Whew are you lucky... What if you had guessed too high and she sent you a picture of a stink eye!! :)
ReplyDeleteA popsicle is the bestest of gifts... If only that popsicle could make your fires go away.

Hi Goose,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great present! I could handle a Popsicle right now. It is hotter in Texas than it was back home. I am in Texas for my girlfriend's birthday. Nellie was coming with me, but I lost her. Have you seen Nellie?
Kozmo
Goose... you were NOT Kidding about the TRAFFIC... It was NOSE to Butt... and slower than a Squirrel Thought... Jazzi had pictures of it on her blog today.
ReplyDeleteOH the sunset... I guess from every BAD thingy ... GOOD thingys COME.

Excellent lesson with the fire & sunsets, Goose. You always give us something great to think about.

Wow a Popsicle! I have not tried one in my whole life but it looks great! Sealed with a kiss Charlotte
ReplyDeleteThat Popsicle looks pawsome, especially with a view like that! *waggy tail*
ReplyDeleteHi Goose, What a wonderful treat you got-so thoughtful of Jazzie.
ReplyDeleteSorry about another fire-will they ever end?! Hey, anytime you and mom head to Estes let me know and we'll meet up,have lunch and walk. You are such a good friend Goose and I know you'd be so gentle with me. Today, my best gal pal Lexie(an Ausie who is 5-6x my size at least)ran me over and made me do gymnastics. I wasn't too happy and went to mom immediately and stayed by her the rest of the time. I guess big pups just don't understand small 9 lb pups. I'm glad you do.
Woofs, Hunter
What fun to get a package. Sounds like you and the mailman have a definite understanding!

A POPSICLE????????? It didn't melt during the travels to your house?????
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!!
My mom enjoyed your Sunset pictures, she took similar pictures when we were having the fires in Colorado!
The colors were so vivid, she said when she looked at the Sunset she could feel the warmth, and love, of our Heavenly Father.
You are so lucky to get a package Goose! Betty never gets anything in the mail (except maybe medicine, yuck), beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a cool package. Hope they get that wildfire out quickly.
ReplyDeleteThe sunset photos are beautiful! I hope the fire stays away from you.
ReplyDeleteA popsicle sounds so tasty right about now - this heat is making us all bonkers.
ReplyDeleteNice gift from Jazzi.
Beautiful photos.

Okay, so here was the mask picture. I was getting away from myself. I was trying to take in all of the updates I've missed at once. I loved reading about how even beauty can emerge from destruction. It's an important thing to hold on to when destruction feels like it surrounds. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWoof to you Goose!!!! Even with that mask on you're so handsome. My assistant and I loved your entry in the Couch Potato Peeling contest. Much love to you - XXOO - Mazzie
