Met up with Baci (above) and Logan and Bert and big Murphy and little Murphy and Stanley at the Fort for out Friday night walk.
Before we head in to the Fort area with the woods and river we play in the ball field first. Then we head off. But something happened as we started our walk. But I'll get to that in a moment.
I chased sticks floating down the river.
Got it! This is my new thing now that I am not afraid of the water anymore.
Then I'd give the sticks to my pal big Murphy.
But we had to cut our walk way short because my MOM locked the keys to the Blazer in the Blazer! That's why not so many pictures, MOM was UGHing over the fact that she locked us out of our vehicle. Lucky for us Murphy and Stanley's mom and dad have Triple A (whatever that is). They made a phone call and we headed back to the ball field to wait for AAA to come.
It got dark. But you know what? I have the bestest friends. They all waited with me and MOM, in the dark, till the Triple A guy came.
While we waited Baci and Logan got groomed. Well mostly Logan cuz he got a head FULL of little burrs on our short walk.
Murphy and Stanley hung out with me too. Thanks guys for sending the AAA dude. I am sure MOM would have broken a window if it wasn't for you guys.
Big Murphy and Bert and their peeps hung out and waited also. Even though we spent most of our adventure time waiting in a parking lot, it still was an adventure. Like life, it's all what you make of it. And we made the most of it.
Don't forget to go over to Sarge's for the Swimming Event in the Blogville Olympics. AND head over to Jazzi's for Window Nose Art. Yep I am entered in both. These Olympics are Great!!
OK I am off now to make sure MOM get some spare keys made.
Blessings,
Goose
Goose you always have such fun. Have a lovely Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
You're so right Goose! Life is what YOU make of it. Kind of like the ol'e cliche "when life hands you lemons, you make lemonaide." You do have such pawsome pals. Sorry that Mom locked the keys in the Blazer but just think it could have been much worse.... Like last week when my Grandpa locked his keys in the van AND THE VAN WAS STILL RUNNING! Mama got a phone call at 1:30am from the neighbor who noticed it. He left it running for over 5 hours!! We too had to call Mr. AAA man to rescue us. We sometimes wonder if he should still be driving......

Lily Belle
Oh no! We have done that too, left the keys in the car. You have great friends who waited with you!!
ReplyDeleteEven though the walk was cut short it sure is nice to know you have great friends.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Hi Goose, I'm so glad you and your mom were with friends and not alone-that would not have been fun to wait so long. You have the bestest friends. How wonderful that you have such a good bunch of friends too that you can meet in the evenings and go for a walk/playtime with. Heading the check out the Olympics now.
ReplyDeleteHave a pawsome day!
Noreen & Hunter
Friends will be friends....Hurray for your friends, enjoy your weekend, Goose.
ReplyDeleteP.s. I'm still afraid of water - embarrassing huh?
Goose buddy, it was a whole cool adventure. Because of your mom leaving the keys in the car, I got to spend more quality time with My Vickie. I love it when I have her total attention and when she is stiing on the ground in a parking lot, she may be talking with the humans, but she is all mine as far as who she plays with. My dinosour and I got to play for about 40 minutes with her and that is GREAT.
ReplyDeleteBesides, as much fun as that place is, no one should be alone there. There are some pretty interesting folks that come out of the forest after dark.....
Your Buddy
Bert
Goose friends are the best you my handsome boy have some very fine friends. Tell Mom we heard a trivia question the other day it said that about 60% of the population has locked their keys in their car at least once!! Hugs your BFFF MADI
ReplyDeleteAND I LOVE TAKING WALKS WITH YOU AND YOUR BUDS AND BUDETTES

We are so glad your Mom's most wonderful friends stayed wiff you while waiting for the AAA man! Our Mom's car doesn't use the key, it just needs to be in her pocket or purse. That can be very bad beclaws she has forgotted her keys in the house, locked the door and didn't nose until she tried to start the car! Since we live part time in a Condo wiff a detached garage there is no way back into the house!! Luckily, after a few mishaps, Daddy HUD a key in the garage!

Hi Goose,
ReplyDeleteSeems like our Humans and their Blazers are havin' problems gettin' along together later. My SUV is a Trailblazer...same as yours only gray and sometime the powers that be decided to change the name of it. Papa is always asking my Human if she has her keys whenever she gets out of the car.
Glad all your friends were there for y'all!
Hawk aka BrownDog

Tell your Mom we have done the exact same thing and know that feeling!! THANK HEAVEN for great friends!!! We don't have 'Triple A' but we do have 'emergency road service' on our car insurance and I didn't know until I almost broke a window to get into my van that the policy covers your locking the keys inside--Just something to keep in mind if you have that coverage on your insurance.....But I have a feeling you won't ever need it, because I haven't! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh it's awful when that happens. Thank goodness for good friends though and it sounds like you still had a great time! :)
ReplyDeleteYOu have some PAWSOME friends!! Special time with good buddies, I'd say you made lemonade from those Lemons :)
ReplyDeleteOh no. You have nice friends to wait with you. :)
ReplyDeleteWoof to you Goose!!!! You and your MOM have some really amazing friends. That's the kind of stuff true friends are supposed and sadly many people fall short. Much love to you - XXOO - Mazzie
ReplyDeleteThat AAA can come in really handy! I'm glad your MOM didn't have to break the window. Speaking of breaking things, WHOA BREAKING NEWS, you're not afraid of the water? Did I see you up to your back? Holy MOLY, this is incredible! I hope you're written more about this! I need details!
