Morning Hike

Hello Friends.

For the last two weeks my MOM's work schedule has been INSANE!  Butt on Saturday MOM said, "Enough is enough".  We woke up early and to my surprise after MOM had her coffee she put on her HIKING BOOTS.  Wooooooo to the Hoooooo.  And we were off on an adventure, a morning hike.  Come along with me my friends.

Oh MY Oh MY!!!  Did I have a great time!  I also wanted to point out in the video you saw a picture of some thick brush.  Then the next picture is of me coming out of that brush.  Let me tell you why in one word.....SNAKE.  MOM at first could not figure out why I came bursting out of the brush.  She even said, "Come on Goosie, lets go."  Butt I would not budge and I would not keep following that trail.  I stayed behind her and kept wiggling back.  Then MOM realized that is my "snake alert" action.  Now, MOM never saw the snake, and I may not have either.  BUTT I now know what a bad snake smells like and I was having none of it.  So we went another way.  Hope you enjoyed coming on my hike with me.

A Few Words

Hello Friends.

Last we spoke I told you my MOM would be working her tail off (if she had a tail, well maybe she did and she already worked it off) and I wouldn't be able to post much if anything this week.  Well MOM is taking five minutes so I can show you how I have been helping her relaxed and renew after her 16 hour days so she can face another day.  She has been doing this since Sunday and it will end on Saturday, maybe Sunday.  In dog hours that would be 672 hours in one week.  Maybe following my lead you to can help your peep feel relaxed and renewed.

First I help MOM with her breathing.  Deep breath in, deep breath out.  Breath in light and goodness, breath out yucky stuff.  In Out In Out

Then there is snuggle time.  This is very important.  When you  snuggling the body relaxes.  I recommend 87 minutes of this.

Then when the MOM falls asleep, you just stay close and tell the camera man he can leave now, you've got it under control.
Then there is mediation.  I am a certified mediation dog.  Oh yes I am, I have been trained by the best and I am a master at leading my MOM into the soft, warm, beautiful world of relaxation.  Two key things here: 1- you MUST hold paw to hand, 2- the closer you get the better it works.

Finally when the MOM is all relaxed you give TONS of smooches.

Dog Days of Summer

Hello Friends.

It's the Dog Days of Summer in my neck of the woods.  Temps are in the upper 90's to low 100's.  It is dog hot I tell you.  Which makes for a hot dog.

As I have gotten older I find myself during the heat of the day laying on the couch with a cool breeze blowing on me from the small window cooler.  MOM says she really has noticed a big difference in me from last summer.  I tell her I am not slowing down, I'm just older and wiser.  No need to work up a pant when I can catch a few Zzz's on a comfy couch with that cool breeze tickling my ears.  That's my story and I am sticking to it.
Peessss- I might have trouble getting to many post up this week.  MOM has another BUSY week, even more so than last week.  She is working real hard and so I am going to give her a little break, in that if she does not have time to help me post it's OK.  I will just kick back and read what's going on with all of you.

Tomato Pickin' 101

Hello Friends.

Some of you may know that my MOM plants for me my very own tomato plant.  Yep just for me.  I get to pick my very own tomatoes whenever I want.  This is something I do not take lightly.  I know that one must take care of their plants in order for them to grow and produce.  So join, me won't you, as I show you how to take care of your very own tomato plant.

There she is my friends, my tomato plant.  Isn't she beautiful?  MOM plants flowers around my tomato plant.  Not only does it look pretty but the bees love the flowers and we all know bees are VERY important and helpful to helping all plants be all they can be.  (No pun intended, OK maybe it was intended)

One of the things I do is to check to make sure my tomato plant has the proper moister level.  This is very important.  Just as you and I need water to survive so do plants.  It is important that it is just the right amount.  Plus I get the added bonus of sniffin' the beautiful flowers.
"Hello my delicious beauty, I see you."
Then I check to see if any tomatoes are ripe.  You might think I don't know the difference, butt I do.  I never pick or eat a green tomato.  AND I NEVER eat the leaves.
This one looks like it is perfect and ready to meet my lips and stomach.
I then go in gently.  This is important.  I do not want to harm the rest of my plant.
Reward is mine.  Yummmmmmmm.  Just about nothing beats a freshly picked and eaten tomato.
And that my friends is how you pick your own tomatoes.  Follow these simple rules and you will feast all summer long.
OH! And check this out.  My MOM and her young friend Oscar pick all this yummy goodness on Sunday.  2 different kinds of Kale, Radishes, Summer Squash, Bell Peppers, Chili Peppers, Beets, Lettuce, Jalapenos, Zucchinis.

Really MOM?

Hello Friends.

So there I was at Bert's place and my MOM comes to get me.  Bert goes a bit crazy when my MOM shows up.  He grabs his ball and dances around her.  Sometimes he even jumps up on her (shocking I know coming from Golden Boy).  Sometimes it's more than a Goose can take.  So what do I do?

I take his ball.  His beloved ball.
MOM tries to tell me to give Bert his ball back.  Butt if I do then he just starts the dance thing again with my MOM.
Then, THEN she got all huggie on him.  But wait it gets even worse.
She tries to get Bert to punch me in the snooter!!
To my brother Bert's credit his heart was not in it, punching me in the nose.  His heart was defiantly in it to get his ball back.
Holy snarl batman look at my MOM's face!  No snarl on Bert's face, he is just focused on the ball, hoping that the shock of what my MOM is doing would cause me to drop the ball.
I did drop the ball, Bert grabbed the ball and I told my MOM exactly how I felt about what she did.  Why MOM, why?

Up next is Sorry Ass.  Crikey (did I say that right?) our winner is Charlie Down Under!!
Dumb Ass's new home will be with Lovable Lilly!!  Hey give Grandpa Bob a nose poke for me.
Bad Ass will taking his bad self to Finley the Westie's crib.

And last but in no way least, Kiss Ass will be giving Kisses to Harlow and Monty.  I gave Kisses a special kiss to give their momma.
Thank you, thank you friends for taking all these Asses off my paws.  Now I can kick back and enjoy my beer without all those Asses getting up in my face and tipping over my beer.
Oh yea that's the good stuff.
If all you winners could please email me at pastormichelle13(at)gmail (dot) com and give me your shipping address I will get right on stuffing all those Asses in boxes and ship them to you right away.  Hahaha I just thought about all those Asses in boxes, boxes full of WOOOOOOOOOP Asses.  Bawhahahhaa.  I'll have to drink to that one.

I'm Surrounded by Asses

Hello Friends.

Yes you read the title right... I AM surrounded by asses.  Lots and lots of asses.  The director of St. Anne's Homeless Center sent them home with my MOM for me.  WHAT?!!!!!  It's true.

See I am surrounded.  Let me introduce you.
This is Bad Ass with his tuff donkey vest and Mohawk hair cut.
Kiss Ass with BIG pink lips.
Smart Ass with his smart bow tie and glasses.
Sorry Ass holding a bouquet of flowers.
And finally Dumb Ass wearing his dunce hat.
Let me tell you friends this is way to many Asses for one Goose to handle.  So here is what I am going to do.  YOU can have one of these Asses for yourself.  Just leave a comment what Ass you want.  Then on Saturday I will let you know if one of these fine Asses will be headed to your home.  If more than one pup or kitty or whatever expresses an interest in the same Ass I will do a simple drawing to see who gets it.  And yes, I will ship them anywhere in the world.  Come on help a brother out and claim your very own Ass.
