Play with Me

Hello Friends.
Last week I was in the mountains with my MOM.  We were walking around.   I was up ahead of her, you know blazing the trail, and she thought she noticed something on my leg.  She called me back to take a closer look.  What she saw stopped her heart.  I warn you that it is sort of gross, so scroll down if ya don't want to see.

Not sure what happened.  Maybe I snagged my back leg on a stick or more likely a sneak attack by a pack of squirrels.  Anyway, long story short, she took me to Dr. Eddie and he stapled me up and told me I could not play, hike, get wet, run, basically I could have no fun for at least 10 days.  This is very hard for me.  The following video is what I do EVERY night since that day to try and convince my MOM to play with me.

The woman is as strong as steal and will not give in.  I keep going to the entertainment center because in that drawer is my laser light and I want her to play laser light with me.  But NOOOOOO she won't! She says I have to wait until Dr. Eddie says I can.  Maybe I should go to his house and convince him I am OK to play.  Sheesh I am fine, just look at me.  I am sure in a day or two more I can wear MOM down and I will be chasing the light soon.  And really I am doing just fine.
Blessings,
Goose

  15. Now I am with you Goose Brother, but My Vickie says that You should de excactly what Dr. Eddie and Dr. Baker tell you two. I mean, two of my favorite vets said....QUIET for 10 days......That is like a second opinion for humans.

We really missed you on the walk but can you imagine all the little critters floating around in the river and if any of them got in your sore, well, the havoc. You would be sicker than sick.

So for me, My Vickie, your mom and all of blogville, Please do what your doctors said......its only for a little while.

    Love ya
    bert

  16. I'm sure it must be difficult to keep quiet, but we all want you to heal fast so like Bert said, "QUIET for 10 days!" It will be over before you know it.

  17. Well the end of the video was my favorite. I think he ended up turning his "please play with me" into a win since he got you to laugh. He needs some cheetos in a Kong toy! That might keep him entertained in a calm way...though, I used to put cheese in a Kong for Lilly and she'd just run it to the top of the stairs and drop it so that all the cheese popped out as it fell down the stairs. Hmmm...Goose, we're sending you healing wishes for play time coming sooner than expected!

    Happy seeing beautful!

  20. Oh no Goose! We're so sorry to see that you are injured. Please take it easy like you're supposed to. We need you to get better and healthy once again. I just know that your Mom is giving you all kinds of attention and extra loving so enjoy it! Milk it for all it's worth!

I know you're missing your furends and running and playing and swimming and fishing and stick getting and so much more, but ya gotta heal first.

If you need some good (cute) nurses just let us know and Muffin and I will be right over.

    Hugs,
    Lily Belle

  22. Oh goodness Goose! I feel so bad for you not being able to play but you have to follow the doctors orders, right! I'm sure being vocal with your Momma is going to wear you out so you can rest up and let that leg heal. I know it's hard to keep a good dog down though. I loved the way you got right in your Momma's face at the end there. It had me laughing right along with her! :)

  23. Oh poor Goose!! I understand not being able to get out and play! Best to behave and follow the doctor's orders and you will be outside in no time!

  24. "sort of gross?" Goose, I almost lost my breakfast when I saw your owwie. You must have some seriously deranged squirrels out there to do that to you.

  25. OMD OMD GOOSE I am so very much sorry that you got hurt and can not play. BUTT you really stated your case very much like a LAWYER in Opening Statements... Like... OPEN the DRAWER and get out my LASER LIGHT... right NOW mom. I KNOW IT IS IN THERE and I WANT it!
Wow... you could be on Court TV.

  26. Ouch! Don't mess around with injuries like that, Goose. If the dogtor says no playing, then no playing!

  27. Get well soon pal, hope it will be better in shortest time. My dad hoped that I would not so much bark if I'm a view years older - Thanks for showing him (and let him HEAR) the reality, hahahahahaha

  28. Oh, Goose! Goose, my brother! You poor guy! I think maybe if you tell your MOM you're ready to play just a WEE bit louder, she'll get the message. Zim recommends that you try the Sad Eyes Look on her if that doesn't work. Oh, moms can be SO HARD about things sometimes!!!
If she doesn't cave, we hope the time passes fast for ya. As they say in that Obedience School place (not that either one of us have ever been!) == HEAL!
    Ha woo.

  34. No Goose, we have to say you put up a very good argument. And you were very persistent as well. And we can add that when we saw you on Sunday, you were looking like you were healing very well. BUTT . . . you better do what the doc says, AND you know it is very hard for your mom to tell you "NO" so we think she will get you a present very soon.

    Your pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  35. Oh Goose, we are so sorry you have to stay calm, that would be very hard for us too. But best to follow the doctor's orders. We can't believe how stoic you must be not to have even screeched when that happened. Good thing Mom caught it so you wouldn't get a nasty infection there. Guess this means no swimming for a while either. heal well, dear friend.
