Shadow

As I walk, stand, lay and play in the bright sun I have a constant companion (besides my MOM) with me.  Let me show you.

That's right it's my shadow.

This reminds me of Psalm 91:1-2, " You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust."

I guess on sunny days I really have three companions, my shadow, MOM and God.  I think I am in good company.  And even if the sun is not shining I will still always have two.

OK, some times I have four shadows.  This is my friend Cooper.  MOM's brother brings him over sometimes to stretch his legs on my over half acre yard.  Most of the time he follows me everywhere around the yard.  He's handsome huh?  And he does real good keeping up with me, as a good shadow should.
Blessings,
Goose

  5. Oh Goose, you really have such a nice perspective on things. I always enjoy your posts!

    Your pal, Pip

P.S: Your comment asked about Rosie's ears. Our vet thinks it is frost bite from living on the streets. My mom rescued her when she was about a year old. We think someone probably dumped her outside in the middle of winter when she was a kitten. She was SO HAPPY when we brought her inside. Of course, now that she has settled into the life of a pampered house cat, she is quite bossy!

  6. Hey Goose, that was a great scripture about your post. Your mom and you really are examples of what you share with us.

I like Cooper too. When we enlarged the picture we had a little giggle with Coopers expression and his big eyes.

Do I get to meet him some day?
