Promises

You may recall that my MOM in addition to her job also has to continue her education.  That means she has a lot of reading to do and tons of papers to write.  I've been through this before.  The woman barely sleeps during this time.  I promised her that I would be understanding when she has to hit the books and try not to bother her too much.  In turn MOM put my head in her hands and promised me that no matter what she would make sure that I would still get my hikes and walks, even if they have to be shorter than normal and even though they might just be around our neighborhood, she would still take me.  So I was way surprised that after breakfast MOM put on her hiking boots and said lets go.  I wasn't expecting that and to top it off we hiked for two and a half hours!  Of course MOM took some pictures and they are below in a video.  Not sure why she picked the song that she did.

When we got back home MOM grabbed her bucket and trowel and began weeding the flower beds, getting them ready for spring flowers.  Double bonus for me, cuz I love it when MOM works outside.  I love just laying next to her as she does the yard work.  First a great walk, then laying in the sun next to my MOM for the rest of the afternoon.  Yep it was a good day.  When night fell I reminded MOM that I also love to eat and have treats so she better hit the books, cuz if she doesn't do her homework, then she doesn't have a job and then where will the kibble and treats come from.
Blessings,
Goose

  2. That was a great hike Goose! I think MOM was just spending time in nature preparing to get down to business!

I must say Goose is hard to spot in some of the scenes. Thank goodness for the subtitles!

Now Mom it is time to do all your reading and work so you can keep Goose in the style to which he deserves!

  22. Woof to you Goose!!!! I saw you in Bert's watering hole and am so proud of you! It looks like Bert is doing a great job of showing you the ropes in terms of how to have fun in the water and that you are becoming more and more comfortable moving out of your comfort zone. And you are so lucky to have such a beautiful place to hike off leash. While I get a ton of time outside, since I live in NYC, I don't get to see mountains, forests and watering holes like you do. Speak to you soon. XXOO - Mazzie

  23. You got to hike for two and a half hours?! I am green with envy! It is perfect weather here right now and I'm busy nursing Mom out of her bronchitis. Dad has already put his foot down and said no hiking this weekend. Booo! I'll live through you!
