Are You Having Fun

There I was watching MOM work.  I am being a good boy and keeping my promise to let her get stuff done.  But a part of our relationship is taking care of each other.  So I have decided to make sure MOM takes needed breaks and the most important part of that is having fun together: to see her smile, laugh and enjoy the beauty around her.  So I put my head on her shoulder as she was reading and writing and gave her the look.  Proverbs 17:22 says  "A happy heart is like good medicine, but a broken spirit drains your strength."  So when I sensed MOM needed a fun break this is what we did.

Bubbles!!!
What's more fun than this?
This IS fun!
If fun is missing from your life, it’s time to get it back.  Research shows that playing and having fun is important for good physical and mental health.  Having fun doesn’t mean being irresponsible.   Make time to do something that has so many proven benefits is perhaps the most responsible thing you could do.

Bubbles Bubbles Bubbles
Come here little BUBBLE
See MOM I told you this would be fun
Weeeeeee

Here are a few questions to ask yourself. Do You?... Give yourself and others permission to be silly, to laugh, to have fun?  Run out to greet each day?   Laugh out loud more than once a day?  Plan for fun on a regular basis?   Take regular "fun" breaks during the day?  Consider fun an important part of your personal and professional life?  Surround yourself with upbeat, fun people and dogs and see the beauty all around you?

"A happy heart is like good medicine, but a broken spirit drains your strength."
Did you know that there are 65 scriptures in the Bible about having fun and playing?  Make sure you have some fun today.
Blessings,
Goose

  4. That's fantastic advice, Goose! Mom says that during her work, she does have quite a bit of fun. PreK is good for people who like to have fun! You can bet that we dogs work on reminding her, too. Kuster makes her play hide and seek every night now! BOL!

  6. Wise words indeed, dear friend! Bubbles are such fun and full of delight. As dad likes to say, "You have to remember to take time to smell the hostess!" Momma told me he really means "smell the ROSES" but I don't see what's wrong with HIS version.

  7. The jobs I have disliked the most were ones where the management frowned on laughter. It is always good to have some fun everyday.

    Thanks for reminding us, Goose.

  8. I think that maybe I need some bubbles. I'm getting some the next time I go to town. You make it look like bubbles might cure my soul, Goose.

A sad soul does drain the body as well. I now have my second bad infection in the past 2 weeks, first my eye and now my ear. I need some bubbles!

Thanks Goose. You are one wise dude.

  29. Hi Goose, I loved this post and so glad you convinced your mom to take a fun break. I have found that since we retired I laugh so much more. Of course our grands make us smile and laugh constantly. Thank you so much for reminding us to take time and have fun; life is too short to be serious all the time. You're the best!!!!

  34. Oh, this post is tremendously beautiful and warms my spirit. I am so happy your were able to let your dog remind you of what's really important in this life. Goose is a blessing.

As Vickie wrote on her last post, "Bubbles and Joy and Fun and Happiness. Life is so good."

It is indeed. We have only to stop and notice all the wonder around us just begging for our eyes to fall upon.

Thank you for all the inspiration! Bless you and bless Goose!
