Friends and Blue Skies

Today me and 9 of my friends went on a little walk.  Times like these are so special.  As we walked along I could not help but notice the brilliantly beautiful blue sky.  What joy!
I wonder how many did not even notice today that beautiful blue sky that was right there above them, keeping their heads low focusing instead on the mud they were/are walking through .
Seems to me that sometimes we confuse happiness with joy.  For me joy is a blue sky.  True joy is deeper than happiness; we can feel joy in spite of “gray skies”.  Happiness is temporary because it is based on external circumstances, but joy is lasting because it is based on God’s presence with us.
Look up friends and see the blue sky that has been place before you, just for you.
Please ignore the slobber spots on the photos.  MOM said “someone” must have licked the camera.  I wonder who she could be talking about.

Psalm 16:11
Blessings,
Goose

  6. Oh what fun!!!!! Yes, joy is in a blue sky or in the eyes of someone (or some dog) you love.

  7. I love your choice of song for this video.

Certainly it wasn't you who made those slobber marks... Tell your mom, it's background art. Besides, I haven't noticed any of em.

Oh, and those pictures where in you were running towards the camera, it was really really good.

  9. Goose: Mom walked out of the market this evening (after reading your post) and the clear sky was a brilliant orange at the horizon and faded to purple and then black. It was pure JOY!!

  10. Oh how cool - you got 'snoodles' on the camera lens - we leave lots of those on the car windows for Mom. Looks like everyone had a great time running and playing.
