It's the Dog Days of Summer in my neck of the woods. Temps are in the upper 90's to low 100's. It is dog hot I tell you. Which makes for a hot dog.
As I have gotten older I find myself during the heat of the day laying on the couch with a cool breeze blowing on me from the small window cooler. MOM says she really has noticed a big difference in me from last summer. I tell her I am not slowing down, I'm just older and wiser. No need to work up a pant when I can catch a few Zzz's on a comfy couch with that cool breeze tickling my ears. That's my story and I am sticking to it.
Blessings,
Goose
Peessss- I might have trouble getting to many post up this week. MOM has another BUSY week, even more so than last week. She is working real hard and so I am going to give her a little break, in that if she does not have time to help me post it's OK. I will just kick back and read what's going on with all of you.
Those temperatures are too hot for anyone! You deserve to relax and enjoy the AC.
ReplyDeleteWE think you are one smart pup for taking it easy while it is so hot! Good-looking and smart!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Sunday, furriends.
XOXO
I'm a hot dog too, brother and I do the same: hanging around at a cool place. To relax together with your mom is the best what you can do to spend this Hot-Dog Days.
ReplyDeleteWe are with you Goose! We do love our A/C!
ReplyDeletei find i am doing the same thing as you do Goose and so does Baby Girl... and i am noticing changes in her to... enjoy your cool air
ReplyDeletewe all deserve a few creature comforts as we get older and there is nothing better then some cool air on a hot day :)
ReplyDeleteGoose you are smart not to expend previous energy in that heat...save it for picking strawberries and 'maters. Hugs
ReplyDeleteTo you and mom during this busy week
Madi your bffff
It has been unusually cool here but we prefer it this way. Enjoy relaxing!
ReplyDeleteHi there Goose. What a smart boy to stay nice and cool on a hot day. We are glad you have a place to be cool. Tell Mom not to worry about the blog if she has lots of work to do. Take care and have a nice Sunday.
ReplyDeleteTHAT is really HOT and we do NOT blame you fur not wanting to do a lot when it is that way. Just enjoy your relaxing time and TRY to stay cooler.
ReplyDeleteWe totally understand how busy your mom is. We will be here when you are able to squeeze in some time. Not a problem.
Yippie! Smart Ass arrived! Thanks sooo much, I just love him. I'm going to take him everywhere with me and when I'm buckled up in the car, I'll hold on to him real tight so he doesn't go flying if we have to stop short. So now when mom says, "stop being a smart ass, I can say , 'you talkin' to me? ' ". Stay cool, my friend. Lady Caroline
ReplyDeleteThat is too hot for anybody, young or old, to be out. Enjoy your AC.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have found the perfect spot for a hot summer's day. I think that is where the phrase "chillaxing" comes from!

TOTALLY UNDERSTAND -you are so kind to give her a break.
ReplyDeleteHey Goose!
ReplyDeleteWow, you look so comfy and relaxed! It's been unusually cool and very rainy here in my territory. Wanna trade?!? BOL We could switch between hot and cool. Give your Mom a hug from me!
BTW: We'd love to have you host First Aid Tips for safety week! Thanks so much. You can put your post up anytime on 8-14-14 and we'll all be promoting links to the various events. Thanks again for hosting and for contacting Bert! :)

Crikey Goose ..... you're not slowing down, mate ..... It's summer!! You need to relax when it's hot, aye??
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Those temperatures will slow ANYONE down! I'm three and oh my pug, I can spend no more than three minutes out there in the hot and humid Nashville climate.
ReplyDeleteHey Goose, we totally agree with your way to beat the heat. Laying around next to a fan is an excellent idea. We do the same. Running and fetching is an earllllly morning activity...laying about is for the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteSmooches from pooches,
BabyRD & Hootie
Quite right Goose, one with brains like you needs a good rest, especially in that heat.
ReplyDeleteHave a super week,
Pippa :)

Gosh Goose - wiser indeed. Must be hot over there - just take it easy mate and stay in front of the cooler. We here are having the opposite problem - but today was lovely cold but sunny - so mum did my walk today. In two weeks we are travelling to the snow!! Wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie xxx
You are both sweet and smart, dear Goose.
ReplyDeleteStay cool Goose. Thank dog for AC and fans!
