Love My Blankie

Hello Friends.

I'm just going to say it:  I LOVE MY BLANKIE.  There I said it.  I know it might not be the "manly" dog thing to love your blankie, but dog-gone-it, I do.

MOM thinks it's cute and she wonders why I hold my blankie and whine.  As a human she just would not understand.  But I know that some of you do.  Am I right?
Blessings,
Goose

  1. Oh my Goose - I think you are adorable and very manly with your blankie although you are right - can't quite understand the whining - sounds like you are very content?

    1. Goose...This reminds me of my first kitty, Peanut. We had a quilt on our bed that had yarn ties and Peanut would "nurse" on the yarn ties and move her paws kind of like you are doing. I realize that you will now probably block my comments from your blog, but what you're doing really looks cute.

  22. it is a doggie pacifier, our dog Max, who went over the rainbow, used to do this to miss piggy, a childs toy that he removed the stuffing from. he would suck on it to go to sleep, just like you are doing. and he did not like it when i washed it. after 10 years it was nothing but a rag, i found a pig just like it at a garage sale, he did not want that one at all.

  24. I understand you Goose, because I do the same. Currently I whine if I got a Greenie or a large chewing bone. Staff is always buffered.... and I could be convulsed with laughter about their cluelessness ;o)

  35. Well, as long as we're being open and honest ... the quilt I like to have on my bed at night is pink camo. There. Now you know. I can't help it. It's comfy and my mom made it for my sister Ammy and so ... well .... you know. I love it.
And I'm a manly pup, too!

  36. Hi Goose, I think your blankie just makes you feel so comfy and loved-and I think you are just talking to it. Hunter whines a lot when he sees his friends or if he wants treats.
Hope you had a fun day.

  37. Dear Goose,

Blankets are very manly. You're right, the people don't always understand, do they. For me it is my friend Puffie. Puffie makes a WHONK noise when I bite on him, and a crinkle-crinkle noise when I cuddle and lick and suck his fake-fur. I love my Puffie... Sigh...

Wait - what was I talking about? Oh right, blankets. Blankets are good too!

  40. I only whine if Pyramid isn't where he should be, like if he falls on the floor and I'm on the bed, or if I accidentally rip him.

  41. I know what you mean, Goose. I love blankets and towels and things from the laundry....who says that's not manly?
