More Snow

Hello Friends.

It happened again.  When MOM got home from church yesterday (she takes an hour and a half break before she has to go back for what I call round two).  Anyway, she had not been home more than a 15 minutes when I called her over to the window.

Hey MOM you better come take a look at this.

It's snowing like crazy.

So we went out back and sure enough.

It was snowing.  And the snowflakes were as big as half dollars, even bigger.

One of those BIG snowflakes landed right in my eye.  MOM laughed.  haha, yea that's funny.  By the time MOM left to go back to church, about a hour and a half later, it had snowed 6 inches.  By the time she got back home, 3 and 1/2 hours later, we had almost another 5 inches.  I know that some don't like snow and others complain about it, even where we live and we are expected to have snow here.  But you know what I say?  Even if you don't like the wet, cold, fluffy stuff, take a look at what it brings.

Beautiful Spring flowers.

Kicking back pool side at my gal pal Belle's house.

Lush blue fields to romp and play in.

High mountain lakes filled with water for swimming and fishing.

Grand backpacking and hiking trips along cool refreshing streams.

So while the snow may be a pain, where would we be without it's beautiful life giving moisture?
Blessings,
Goose

  15. You sure have had your fair share this year. :) We could use a little more since we were so dry last summer. We are getting ice right now. Yuck!

  16. That is a lot of snow! Wowzers! For a minute I thought you grew white spots overnight. We've actually been wishing we'd get a little of the pretty snow, but so far this winter, no luck! Just a few ice storms, which are not fun.

  18. Even though My Vickie and I LOVE the snow, we are getting a bit antsy to get up into the mountains and photograph the moose, play in the lake and hike in the hills, so your spring and summer pictures were pretty nice to see.

However, wasn't that storm a great one. I mean, those snowflakes really were big. We took little black Cosmo outside to go potty and four snowflakes fell on his back and head and just those four were so big that his whole boddy was white.

    I LOVE THIS SNOW.....

  29. Amen, Goose! We are suffering from a severe lack of snow (or rain) here and it's scary to think about what that's doing! Actually, we got 9/100" of rain the other night and oh, how wonderful that was! Every single birdie came out first thing in the morning to celebrate!
Mom and I love the pix of you and your MOM! Especially the one by the stream! Sigh. Mom time! I love that!
