It is slick as bird poop. What did you think I was going to say? Hehehhe. Good thing Pip and Puddles left when they did. Our weather is CRAZY! Let me show you what is going on.
This is the front of my Blazer.
This is the 1/2 inch thick ice on my back patio.
This is the cracks in the ice that I make when I walk across the patio and driveway, when I am not falling on my butt.
This is what happens when people drive on our icy roads. Thank goodness Puddles has left the state. I would not want to think what would have happened if her and PIP were still here on our roads.
With the crazy weather we are having and the crazy LOOOONG hours my MOM has been working at the church and the homeless shelter, I think it has made MOM go a little nuts. Want to see what happened to me when she got home from work last night? I hate to even show you. But you are my friends and well the end of the story I got even.

She got me a new hat to keep my head warm out in the snow and ice. I HAVE A BUZZARD ON MY HEAD! A bird ON MY HEAD!! Want to see what I think about that?
It's Buzzard season at the Goose household.
Take that crazy bird buzzard hat.
Ha ha. Looks like it will be roasted buzzard for dinner.
Pfttthhhhh! Raspberries to you MOM. Yes I ripped his wing off. I'm going for the drumstick next if you make me wear this again. I do have my dignity. I must admit I did rock the bird hat. But MOM please get some sleep and maybe the craziness will stop and innocent birds will be spared. And finally a Public Service Announcement for all my doggie friends.
Blessings,
Goose
That ice looks bad. Sorry you were subjected to wearing a buzzard hat, but you really showed him in the end.
ReplyDeleteMillie
Ice is AWFUL!! You sure showed MOM who is boss Goose!! :) We love the last one with the signs!! Stay warm!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
ReplyDeleteGood Grief, Goose!! You're sure right about Puddles and Pip getting out of there in the nick of time!! Stay warm and wear your booties! We love that last picture!
ReplyDelete-Bart and Ruby
Woof! Woof! Stay Warm. We also saw in the news about the bad air. Be safe. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteYou make me wag! So many quotables! Take that, buzzard hat! And raspberries to Mom. And slick as...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Goose.
Love,
Toots
Thhank dog we lefted just in time cuz us southerners CAN NOT drive in ice or snow and I is a southerner. Unfortunately da south is suppose to get bad weathers today (everybuddy currently is at da grocery store, dat what we do)
ReplyDeleteBwhahahahahahaha...OMD your MOM has done KOOKOOS. I mean you looked good in it and all but...hehehehehe...I can't say nuttin' else. At least dat buzzard don't poop.
Puddles
Although we boys love the cold the mom says she is so glad we don't live somewhere that cold anymore
ReplyDeleteDead the buzzard Goose. I will come and help you with the other leg pal. Too right , it is a good thing Puddles was not driving and had already left. We hate to think where the car would end up. Hmmm maybe it would have skidded into a bar? Puddles would just call it a 'Drive Through'! Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
It looks so nasty out there, Goose. Be careful! You did "rock" that hat.
ReplyDeleteI hope u are warm and snuggly! :)
ReplyDeleteGoose, you always know how to make us laugh! We actually LOVE the buzzard hat on you. You wear it so well. Now that you've torn one wing off if you wear the hat you're gonna walk lop-sided.
ReplyDeleteSorry to see you're having such nasty weather. At least you still have power and heat. That's always a good thing! We're hoping that Spring arrives sooner than later. We always love to hear about your outdoor adventures.
Please give your Mom a hug from Muffin and Me. She does such wonderful things for the people in this world and just want her to know we appreciate it!
Hugs,
Lily Belle
Good job on the buzzard Goose...you mom needs to remember you're a dog of dignity BOL!

ReplyDeleteOh come on now....that buzzard hat wasn't that bad, was it? The best pawt of it was that it wasn't on MY HEAD!
ReplyDeleteDat ice looks bad. I'm going to remember that when our temps are in the 80's over the weekend. I can send you some heat, ok!
I think your Blazer needs a coat too ...or a buzzard hat? you could have a BBBQ a buzzard-barbecue now ;o)Be careful on the street ;o)
ReplyDeleteWe DO NOT like ice! It is scary to walk and drive on.... Cool hat!
ReplyDeletethanks for my morning smiles.... be careful on that ice... love the warning signs
ReplyDeleteWhen mom first got up at 4 am to leave a blog about pip and puddles visit she thought your blog said 'sick as a dog" and she thought your momma had the flu.....so glad it was just my moms brain fizzes out after our guests hit the road..heheheh.......i thought your hat was hilarious maybe you should wear it sledding..lol......

ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
Well done for surviving Pudds & Pip!! You guys take care. Deccy x
ReplyDeleteGoose be very careful walking on the ice...we don't want you to injury your handsome buns of steel.
ReplyDeleteMOL if Puddles and Pip were there at least they wouldn't have far to fall they are both vertically challenged. mOL MOLMOL Give mom an extra hug when she comes home to night...loving is the best cure for stress
Hugs madi your BFFF
Yep we have that ice at our house too, butt we did not get the fureezing rain like some, it is just the snow melting then fureezing again. Mom almost fell on her butt this morning and Hazel was a little afraid to walk on it.
ReplyDeleteDon't think we would like a buzzard on our heads either.
pughugs
Bailey, Hazel & Greta
Doesn't look like a hat one would wear in public, let alone in the house with a Krazy Lady with a camera.
ReplyDeleteBarharhar, love the signs!!!
Your Pals
Sus & Bites
OMD, I don't blame you for destroying that hat. It is CLEARLY not meant to be worn by handsome doggies. It should be worn only by doggies who need something to distract from how they look.
ReplyDeleteOH GOOSE... while we think SNOW is Evil.... ICE terrifies US. YOU and your MOM be VERY much CAREFUL.
ReplyDeleteLove the last pic.
OMD OMD... we didn't know it was BUZZARD Season.. good thingy he didn't Poop on your head. Ohhhhh does it taste like CHICKEN?
oh goose, you quack me up. (do buzzards quack?) thanks for ending your post on a happy note. the first part made me scared. be careful over there.
ReplyDeleteyour poor MOM; don't blame her for the buzzard hat. i'm sure she's quite stressed driving in those conditions. you are her stress reliever. just grin and bear it :)
wags, bailey
Oh Goose! That's Curl up and stay under the blankies weather! I think you might want to rethink that hat! Your ears will FREEZE!
ReplyDeleteGoose, great job destroying that bird on your head. Too funny. It does look as though the Mom is working a little too hard but you are such a good boy to make her smile. We are having a little ice here too but not as much as you have. That doesn't look like fun at all. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOMD! I've never seen such ice in my life! (okay, not since I left Wisconsin, when I was a pup) I hopes your Moms is okay from all the fallin' on her hinnie! (my Ma would be okay...she's gots LOTS of padding!! BOL)
ReplyDeleteI really can't blame you for rippin' the wing off the buzzard Goose. I thinks the bird asked for it.
BOL That last pic is HILLARIOUS! Ma snorted tea out her nose!!
Kisses,
Ruby
We are not sure how warm your head is going to stay with a stuffie hat, BOL. The ice looks beautiful but it's not fun to drive in
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Ice is the WORST!!! The WORST!!! Stay safe, Goose!
ReplyDeleteExcellent job on the buzzard hat. My sister Stormy taught me long, long ago - if Mom tries to make you wear something you don't want to wear -- eat it or rip it up. She was one very sage Siberian.
Having said that, my mom thought you looked really cute in it. I seriously hope this doesn't give her any bright ideas.
Play bows,
Zim
Yes, we're going crazy too. Butt mom is better since she went running 2 days but not today since everything is so icy. Did you see the recipe I posted for dog-safe ice melt on Facebook? You should try it, it works great!
ReplyDeleteKeep Calm & Bark On!

ReplyDeleteGoose, you are right, your MOM needs rest! You should just grab Billy and snuggle up with her. And be real careful on that ice.
ReplyDeleteOh, and that last picture: Once again Goose, you have me laughing out loud!!
Ha ha ha, love the hat and the last message! You sure got ice and snow...may as well move to Alaska!
ReplyDeleteHey Goose, All I can say is that you two need to stay inside where it is warm until all the ice leaves. Hunter loves to play with ice cubes but your stuff looks really dangerous. I don't blame you about the hat buddy-it isn't as dashing as you! Hope mom gets some rest this weekend.
ReplyDeleteWags, Noreen & Hunter
It's been crazy cold here too... feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteWe love the public service announcement! It made us laugh. Love the hat. We are lucky that while it is cold, cause we are in the country we don't have to deal with salt or ice. Hope your paws are in good shape. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteBOL! That picture at the end! And BOL to your buzzard hat! I thought you looked very cute!
ReplyDeleteLicks,
Ruthie
Goose, you looked so cute in that hat, I could hardly stand it. I am glad you showed it whos boss. I hope the icy stuff goes away soon so you can go out and do snow zoomies. Can you please send me some of the buffalo meat you got from Puddles deading so I can use it for the circus foodables. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
Dear Goose,
ReplyDeleteBird poop is yummy, waaay better than ice don't you think? But what is that THING on your head? Oh dear. I am glad you got to chew on it. Whew.
Licks,
Cobi
That is some ice. Best to stay in and rip up stuffies. Much safer than being on the roads. :)
ReplyDeletethe brown dawgs
That is awful! We has been there - and done that - it is what wes gets for living in the great white north!
ReplyDeleteBut yous guys....WOW!!!
That is probably why your Mom is so crazy busy! Peoples and their doggies need shelter when it is that cold.
Wes LOVED your buzzard hat! Me thinks yous was a little rough on the poor old bird though.
Kisses (and stays warm and don'ts fall and breaks something like Mommy did before Christmas)
Nellie
Are you sure this is you, Goose? I get the feeling you have traded places with Easy in this post! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe weather is just booooo!
ReplyDeleteThat accident is crazy. There was an 80 + car pile up on our main highway on Friday, nobody died thank goodness.
We have tons of ice under the snow here thanks to all the thaws and freezes :(
ReplyDeleteStop on by for a visit
