A Surprise

Hello Friends.

When MOM picked me up from Bert's place on our way home she said she had a surprise for me.  I love surprises.  When we got home, MOM started cooking.  That's not the surprise, she likes to cook.  But what she was cooking was.  She was cooking fish (not a surprise she eats it 3 or 4 times a week) but she also was cooking a yummy looking steak that had this bone in it.  WOW she is cooking a whole steak for me.  There was some potatoes and vegetables and  a salad.  Then she mixed up some fancy desert thingy that looked real good.  We almost never have steak or potatoes or desert stuff.  I was drooling all over the place.  Not sure how I was going to eat all that food, but I was going to do my best.  Then there was a knock at the door.  WHAT?!!  I was about to chow down on my surprise dinner.  And who should be standing on my door step... Mr. Mark.  I like him, and he has a real cool dog named Gunner.

This is Gunner

This is what Gunner and Mr. Mark do.  Well actually Gunner retired a couple of years ago.  Sadly Mr. Mark did not have Gunner with him.  They live in California and Gunner had to stay home this time. But Mr. Mark played with me, he really knows how to play with a dog. He can pick me up and toss me on the couch.  That is tons of fun.  After dinner MOM said we were going to watch a movie.

Wait a minute.  This is not right.  That is my spot.

"Hey Mr. Mark that is my spot.  And this is my leg and that is my hand that is holding my paw, got it?"
"Got it.  But you know what I got you?"

"A bucket of jerky and Gunner got you this bone and brown toy rodent of some sort."

"This is for me?"
"Yes it is, if..."
"If what?"
"If you let us watch this movie."
"Throw in a after movie walk and a hike tomorrow?"
"You got it."

"It's a deal, enjoy your movie."
WOO HOO guess what I get to do tomorrow?

Now here is an opportunity to help doggies and their families in need.  Next Friday (the 14th) is "This moment See Beautiful" blog hop.  Our beautiful host, SUGAR, has offered to donate $1 for everyone who joins in the blog hop to St. Anne's Homeless Shelter Pet Area that will be built.  This area is for the pets of the people who find themselves homeless.  With the completion of this Pet Area pets will be able to stay with their families while they get the help they need to get back on their feet.  So next Friday won't you join us?
Blessings,
Goose

  8. Goose, you are very polite in your "jealousy."

It looks like your nose is healing fine. I can't even see any cat-claw marks. Now, if it was a bite, that might be a different thing! I know that kitty did not know you were a gentleman dog, or he/she wouldn't have jumped on you like that. Sometimes kitties have had a bad experience with doggies.

It hurted my feelings when I saw some comments where people said mean things about cats. Though I know they were trying to console you.
