So there I was Wednesday night minding my own business just walking the perimeter of my yard. Just making sure all was secure and safe. When all of the sudden from out of nowhere I was attacked!
See those two bloody spots on my snooter? It got me! I do not know where the cat came from, I just know that before I knew it, it was attached to my face. MOM was in the garage changing the oil in the Blazer and when she came out to see what was going on there I was with a cat ATTACHED to my face (better than a squirrel I guess). MOM got the cat off my face and cleaned me up. But I was still a little shaken. I fell asleep on the floor and started to have nightmares about the whole incident.
So my MOM laid on the floor with me and held me until the bad kitty dreams went away.
Yea I am dog enough to admit that I don't mind my MOM holding me to make all things better.
Blessings,
Goose

I'm sorry that you had an encounter with a kitty that might have over-reacted a bit to your dogness. We kitties can get scared of big dogs and try to do a preemptive strike. I think you should visit some blogs where the kitties and dogs are pals. Have you visited The Poupounette? Tommy the dog is very nice. It might help with your nightmares.
ReplyDeleteSend us a mug shot Goose and I'll get that darn kitty. Hope your ouchies heal soon pal. Stay warm and snuggly with mum. Have a terrific kitty free Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly.

He just up and sucker-bit you?!? That's not fair! And it really stinks, Goose. I hope you're OK. Well, actually, after that snuggle session with your MOM, I'm sure you are. That could chase any bad dreams away. Are the bite wounds OK, though? Cat bites have all kinds of nasty bacterias in them.

ReplyDeleteActually, I have a friend who is a vet, who was telling me the other day that cat bites are by far the worst in terms of infection. She said that anyone (dogs or humans) who gets bitten by a cat needs to go on antibiotics. I just mention this in case you haven't talked to your vet... I wouldn't want Goose to get an infection.
Oh my! Goose that is so scary! Hope you are ok!
