You know I have much to be thankful for and I do not like to save them all up for one day a year to express them. Each day I sit with my MOM at the start of each day and we say what we are thankful for and what we are hopeful for. One of the things I was thankful for yesterday morning was that for the last couple of days we have had unbelievable weather. Cool in the morning, and days that are filled with beautiful sunshine that warms the soul. When I mentioned this to my MOM she agreed but also let me know that come Friday that would all change, as we are expecting to be dumped on by snow. Snow can be, and is, beautiful as well. But I thought with the snow coming, it will not be as warm. But that is OK too, cuz I just cuddle up with MOM on the couch and all is good. And while I love playing in the snow, at some point I do get cold and I go inside sooner than I would like. But on Wednesday something happened that may just change how long I stay outside before I go in to warm up.
When I got home there was a package waiting for me. I could not even wait to take it inside to open it. I grabbed it off MOM ratty old lawn chair on the back patio where the mailman left it. And headed for my leaf pile.
Oooo it smells like French Toast.
No wait it smells like snails.
I may have spoken to soon, I think it smells like Boeuf Bourgurgnon.
Wait, wait I think I am getting a hint of Coq Au Vin.
On 2nd or or 5th thought it might be French Fries.
Hey that's my pal EASY! If you do not know Easy you must go meet him. He will leave you laughing all day long. And no wonder I thought I smelled all that great French food. Easy lives in France!
That's him peering over the wall. He said, "Dear Brother Goose, I always look over the wall to check out what you are doing because I have to be informed! Be cool, stay warm. God bless you and your mom. Love, Easy Rider." I am going to have this framed.
This is what Easy Rider sent me. My brother Easy was concerned that I would be cold with all the snow we get so he sent me a coat! A COAT!! He also sent a Greenies large bone for me, but I sort of ate that up right away.
I'm wearing French Fashion. Oh La La, look at me. I am rockin' this French coat! I think this is better than French Bread with honey butter (just barely).
How do I look?
What about now?
I look like a race horse in this. And that is a good thing. And it is soooo warm, and stylish.
I'm like an international dog. My collar is from Hawaii, thank you SUGAR. My coat is from France. And my Beautiful tag is from Lydia, Lilly and Buddy form See Beautiful in Georgia.
I am so THANKFUL! I am thankful for all my wonderful friends, and not because I sometimes get gifts from them. That pales in comparison to the friendships I have made. So I bow my head and give thanks to my Creator for each and everyone of you.
And I raise my head in joyful gratitude for the many many blessings in my life. And at the top of that list right next to my MOM is all of you, my friends.
