This is my new friend Polo (he's the one on the left)
It's like looking in a mirror. Well, maybe a mirror ten years ago.
I started to WOOOOO just a little. MOM said to Polo, "Come on Bubba Goose let's go home." WHAT! But she was just kidding, she said she would know me anywhere even in a sea of Weimariners. Polo is a good guy. I hope I see more of him.
When MOM and I got home we watched the sunset (yes Bert it set in the WEST). You want to know what I thought about as we watched this sunset? I thought about this:
To be somebody or somedog is to see, to see with the heart.
To see others for who they truly are and love them,
for they are beautifully and wonderfully made.
Seeing others is to touch them, as you silently pray for God's blessing upon them
Seeing is not always done with the eyes, but it is ALWAYS done with the heart.
When you see with the heart, you will see others created in the image of God.
When you dare to see with the heart you help others to be free from fear
and the tyranny of how the world sees.
Close your eyes, and see with your heart.
Today in the Blogville Olympics it is going to be unbelievable. First up is Puddle's Digging Event. If I were you I'd get there super early to get a great seat you won't want to miss this one. Then make sure you head over to Murphy and Stanley's for Marathon Chewing, another must see. And yes, yes I am entered in both events.
Blessings,
Goose

Goose, I am glad you told me, I thought my eyes were going goofy and I was seeing double, that is a lot of handsomeness for one picture. The sunset is beautiful and so are the words. I am off now for todays events, the traffic is so bad and I want to get there early. I hope Addy and Bertie aren't messing things up with that tank.

You have a twin Goose. We had to do a double take. Lovely sunset. Have a great Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
We thought at first Goose you was playing games on us. You know Photoshop is very popular these day.... Your new furend Polo is ALMOST as handsome as you! I bet you had a great time getting to know him and maybe even taught him a thing or two. We know that Mom could pick you right outta the crowd, she was just pulling your paw with a little joke.
ReplyDeleteWe love your passage today. That is truly beautiful. It goes along well with your sunset picture.
Gotta run and warm up now for the Digging Event.
Hugs,
Lily Belle
That's so cool, you have a second "me" ... Wish I had one too, for those who-was-that-questions...
ReplyDeleteGoose I always thought yu were just a BIG grey pug that had some strange body issues (like a nose etc) lol...you are a very beautiful goose both in and out....
ReplyDeleteI liked what you said about seeing with you heart..its very true...you are very wise!

Stella Rose
Seems like double trouble to us :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteWith all Mom's traveling she missed out on the olympics and commenting on other blogs! Polo is sure a handsome fellow!
ReplyDeleteSam
Goose you touched our heart today..with your thoughts...Bless your sweet Weimariner heart.
ReplyDeletePolo must at least be a 3rd cousin...wow. Mom and I want to know how in the world you keep your furs so shiny. Is it a naturally occurring trait or do you have a professional stylist?
Hugs Madi your BFFF
Looks a "goose" in training, Polo must have heard ALL the WONDERFUL things about you Goose and wants to be your understudy!! How cool is that!
ReplyDeleteLove the poem and the sunset shot is awesome.
That is beautiful. In fact, that's the very essence of See Beautiful. Goose, you and your MOM are really, really smart. Seeing beautiful doesn't happen through the lenses of our eyes but the heart and soul of our beings. Seeing beautiful is the feel of Lilly and Buddy's fur in my hands. It's the smell of the grill during the summer. It's the sound of two strangers connecting in the kindest of ways, children's laughter, a puppies snoring. Seeing beautiful is recognizing how much beautiful surrounds us at every moment throughout everyday.
ReplyDeleteOf course, Goose, you already know this. You could have written the book.
P.S., Polo made us see beautiful too. :)
Okay, we had to share this on See Beautiful's facebook page. It was too perfect no too. It must be shared. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Goose, What a handsome guy you are and Polo looks like he could be a cousin. I'm so thankful for your mom's words today-you both have incredible hearts. Love the sunset too. Happy Weekend and great job to you in winning all those Gold Medals-you are pure gold.
ReplyDeleteWags, Noreen & Hunter
Goose, as you know, we dogs always see with our hearts. It is a good thing some peeps are figuring this our. Your peep is very wise about these things so you must have taught her well. Also, we thought Polo was handsome too. See you tonight!
ReplyDeleteYour friends,
Murphy & Stanley
You have mom ooooo - ing and aaah-ing over here
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Goose - we LOVED your sunset thoughts. You're one beautiful guy!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which - how cool is it to meet your twin!?!? Did you automatically know Polo was a long-lost relative? We always "know" other Siberians somehow.
I wish I could have heard you "woo"! I'll bet you and I could sing great songs together!
Luv,
Dave
Goose, your new friend Polo is very handsome. Of course he IS - he is your twin. Just think of the fun games you could play on your Mom:)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, thanks for the beautiful thought.

Wow Bert, Are you sure you are the one on the left? Or maybe the one on the right? I love the poem. Is that because Queen Penelope is there and you really need to see with your heart to know that she is really a beautiful soul?
ReplyDeleteKozmo at the Cat From Hell
PS I loved the picture she sent from Bert's, sitting on your Mom's lap! Did she whap you?
Starr says Polo is cute but doesn't hold anything to you.... <3
