Well I have to tell you that I have been looking forward to this day for a while. I finally got to go romp and play with my buddy Bert. Plus Murphy, Tye, Tucker, and Oakley were going to be there. Oh joy, I was so excited. We were meeting at one of our favorite places.
The day was cold but perfect. Just look at those blue sky and the cool clouds.
"Bert! Bert it's so good to see you! Lets play."
Bert going after the ball. Can you see the ball in the air?
Look at how much water comes off the dude. He must gain 50lbs when he comes out
"What's over there?"
Geese! That's more than one Goose. hehhehe
"Let's go jump"
Follow the leader
Here I go
Swing the legs
Stretch it out
Stick the landing
Come on Murphy!
Then I climb the mountain. I love that!
What a fun time we were having. But as many of you know my buddy Bert after the jumping swallowed half of a tennis ball! Oh his Vickie was so worried and we rushed back to the cars cuz she knew she had to get Bert to the doctor fast. She is so smart. Bert had to have emergency surgery to get the ball out of his tummy. The vet did a real good job. And I know that my best buddy is going to be fine. But I would appreciate it if you would keep your paws crossed and say a prayer for him.
I know that Bert and I will have lots more blue sky days ahead. But for now buddy rest, take care, and heal up. Before you know it we will be back out romping and playing. But we will leave the tennis balls at home.
Blessings,
Goose
What fun you were having! Goose, we need you to talk to Bert about this stuff that he eats. Rocks and now a tennis ball. Can you have that serious talk with him for all of us? Tell him that too many people love you guys for you to take silly risks like that. Okay?
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of him, and sending him the Power of the Paw.
Yes Goose, Bert needs to leave tennis to the pros. We will keep Bert in our prayers so he recuperates well & is soon back on the outings with the pack.
ReplyDeleteYou have awesome jumping skills!
Boy Goose! You guys sure know how to have fun! I sure hope Bert recovers fast. That must have been quite the scare! Just make sure you leave those balls at home so he doesn't want to eat anymore!
ReplyDeleteWe is purraying real hard fur him! Purrs fur you too, it must haf been terribly upsetting fur efurrybody. xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhite Dog healing woos and positive energy that Bert will be back to running, jumping, swimming, and playing in no time.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad the surgery went well and Bert's in recovery. That was a really close call. Maybe next time you guys should use a football instead?
ReplyDeleteLooks like wonderful fun!! We're saying our prayers for Bert to have a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteGoose, our paws are crossed for Silly Bert. We're glad YOU don't eat tennis balls!!
ReplyDelete-Bart and Ruby
Oh Mr Goose - thank you for having an eye on my beloved Bert! I know he will be back soon and you both will have a lot of fun together - but now we all cross our paws and send good wishes for his fast recovery! (And WHEN he is back - there is a big need to talk with him about "what is food"...)
ReplyDeleteSealed with a kiss Charlotte
Oh Goose, we are so worried about your friend, Bert! You all have so much fun together! Please counsel him on the eating of tennis balls...not a good thing. We have been praying all day and will continue to do so for Bert until we hear from his Vickie that he is ok. You really do have amazing jumping skills Goose!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
ReplyDeleteOh Goose, what a wonderful day that ends so badly! Our paws are crossed for Bert ! We sure hope Bert recovers fast fast !
ReplyDeleteLove & Kisses
Iris & mom & all the pack
I am so glad that y'all had a great time playing before it ended so badly! I am thinking that maybe next time there will be no tennis balls and maybe just sticks to fetch??
ReplyDelete~Higgins
Oh gracious! I'm so glad to hear he's going to be okay. How scary. It makes us look at the tennis balls lying around our house a little differently. Keeping our paws and hands in prayer for Bert!
ReplyDeleteNote From My Vickie:
ReplyDeleteMy Dear Sweet Goose, You and your human are such good friends to Bert and me. We always have so much fun on the walks. It is early now and I am anxiously awaiting the eight o'clock hour so I can call and see if he is doing better. As you and Michelle well know (from just last week) the not knowing is the worst.
I'll email you both as soon as I know that he made it thru the night. (well of course he did, I am just being dramatic)
We love you guys.
Vickie
It was all grrrrreat until... Somebuddy SWOLLOWED half a TENNIS BALL. THANK GOODNESS he got CAUGHT doing it.. and that the Vet was able to take it OUT. I have my paws TIGHTLY Crossed fur our furend and Miss Vickie. I know it will all be fine NOW..
ReplyDeleteIn the future I suggest... Racquet Balls... They don't break apart as easily as tennis balls do. Mom and Dad learned that YEARS ago.
Thank goodness Miss Vickie was so observant, and got him to da Vet! We were so worried bout him........
ReplyDeleteKeeping our paws crossed fur Bert. And, we agree that you prolly need to have a serious nose-to-nose talk with him about his eating habits!
Goose, you MUST tell Bert that tennis balls are NOT a food group! I know you will be a good friend to him during his recovery. I can only imagine the joy when he is all better and can go swimming again! And Goose, you are getting to be quite the fence jumper!
ReplyDeleteHypothetically speakin'...if you killeded a goose and ate it...would dat be considered cannibalism? OMD, dat just sounded grosser when I askeded...sorry.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, ya'll so looked liked ya'll was havin' fun and I was very impressed watchin' ya'll jump.
WHO EATS TENNIS BALLS? Okay, I would have so done dat too so I ain't gonna gives Bert a hard time. I just hope he gets all betters real quick. I knows it has been hard on his Vickie. We are still prayin' and thinkin' of him.
Puddles
We hope it won't be long before Bert is back out there playing and having fun and not eating balls and rocks. We all have our paws crossed for his recovery.

Oh Goose, I am sitting here in tears--both happy and concerned ones. I love seeing you playing with your pals and enjoying the moment. I am praying for our buddy Bert that he makes a quick recovery and is out romping with the pack again very soon (minus the tennis ball :)
