On Wednesday I had my vet appointment. You know, to check on my progress with my mystery enteral bleeding and weight loss and such. I think my MOM was more anxious than I was. So here is the low down. They still do not know what the cause was. That really is the only bad news. The good news is I am back to my target weight (I have gained 7 pounds), I am not in pain, I am not bleeding, I am strong, I'm happy. Dr. Eddie is just amazed at how well I am doing. He even used the word miracle. He even said that I could resume my normal life!! While I did go on a short little outing last weekend I now can to it my way, the Goose way. Big hikes, as much paly time with my friends, wrestling with my MOM. Woooooo Hoooooo I say.
I can't thank you all enough! I have received so so many cards (that's just a few of them in the photo), well wishes, prayers, good vibes from all over the world. I even got treats (that I now can eat), toys, even a one of a kind original drawing of me in my bowtie. WOW! It was, and is, all so beautifully overwhelming. And I know that I might not be here now without all of you. Better friends could not be found anywhere!! In two weeks I will have one more appointment with Dr. Eddie, then I should be home free. I do have some meds I need to take, but hey, what 14 year old dog do you know that does not have to take a pill or tablet or two. Thank You Thank You dear friends.
Blessings,Goose
I wish u to keep getting better!! :)

That's good news! You know, Momma says she'd actually forgotten about it, but she remembered that my kitty brother Scribbles had a problem once where he was bleeding internally and nobody could figure out what caused it or how to fix it. She couldn't afford the invasive treatments the vet wanted, so she put him on rest and a special food for a while. You know what? He was just fine in about a week! And that was ten whole years ago, and he hasn't had another problem like it since. So we're hoping for the same for you!

ReplyDeleteMany doctors have acknowledged that patients who have others praying for them often do much better than those that don't have a praying posse. But we already knew that. We give joyful thanks for your return to your old self. Beer and Cheetos? Well, maybe.
