While my MOM was away in Colorado doing the wedding thing (see last post) she was in good company with Abbey Grace. Abbey is just as much as a ball freak as my buddy Bert. The only difference is Abbey knows how to bring the ball back AND drop it at your feet. Bert LOVES LOVES to play ball. He loves it to be thrown, he loves to chase it down and he even runs it back to whomever threw it. The only thing is he is not so good at dropping the ball, even though he wants you to throw it again. It's CRAZY! So I ask my MOM to get Abbey to do an instructional video to help my pal out. Maybe it might help out somedog you know too.
Do you think you've got it now BERT?!!
Blessings,Goose
ha ha funny funny. Yeah yeah I see the pretty chocolate lab run and get the ball, bring it back and roll it towards your mom. and boy doesn't she just think that is "Special" but I am not worried, Your human will still play ball with me and she will still play ball my way cause I am to cute not to. I IS WHO I IS.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! BOL!! Love the video! Pretty sure Bert is going to stick to his way!
ReplyDeleteBOL! Pretty sure Bert are gonna keep doin things his way.

ReplyDeleteBert - don't change a thing... Abbey, even throwing the ball back to the play partner ain't gonna help no matter how purty you look doing it... Goose, we know it's cuz you care, but yer buddy is yer buddy and I KNOW you love him anway!!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Methinks no way is Bert gonna change LOL even with a pawsome lesson from sweet Abby. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
From Bert's Comment, we don't think that he plans to change... and that's OK beclaws we LOVE BERT no matter WHAT.
ReplyDeleteUh Oh .... looks like I do it wrongs too!!
ReplyDeleteI better keep watching that video.
Tail Wuggles, Rubie xxx
this must help Bert. He is totally missing the best part of the fetch, getting to go again!
ReplyDeletelooooooooooove this.... hope Bert Got it?
ReplyDeleteOh, see... I was WONDERING who played the ball. Thanks for remembering to put it in the credits!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I give the ball back, and sometimes I want to play a little tug-tug. Mom is just thrilled that I'll actually play "real" Fetch instead of the Siberian version. Cammie is hoping I'll grow out of this phase ... whatever that means!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
Hey Goose!
ReplyDeleteWow, this was soooo cute! I love her tail action on the return zoomies. BOL Sure sounds like Bert's gonna stick to his usual plan. I like to change it up a little....so sometimes I drop my beloved stick for my peeps and sometimes I make them chase me around for it. It's good to keep your peeps thinking and challenged that way. BWAR HAR HAR

Wow...that's just what my sissy, Pepper, does with the ball. She gets it and then THROWS it at Mom. If Mom ignores her, she'll pick it up (slobbers and all) and forces it right into Mom's hands. She won't quit, so most of the balls in our house are sitting on top of the fridge. BOL
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he got it, Bert is a super smart guy so I'm curious what will happen when he tries to do it like Abby! btw: I'm deep impressed how far your mom can throw a ball, wow! maybe she can throw one over the ocean for me ( I bet she can manage that) because my mom is a pitiful pitcher... she can throw a ball as far as three frog leaps.
ReplyDeleteWe think not bringing the ball back is good exercise for mom. Then she needs to come get it, BOL

Katy's like that too. She loves to chase it, not so great at bringing it back. Thankfully, Bailey usually will pick it up and bring it back.
ReplyDeleteThat Abby is something! Maybe she should come to Utah for an in person lesson!
ReplyDeleteGoose two wonderful videos!!! Oh what a beautiful place for a gathering.

ReplyDeleteFrom Abbey to Bert:
ReplyDeleteI was so honored to be featured in this video, I feel like a "Movie Dog!!!!" When we lived in Utah, my Mom taught me how to bring the ball back and drop it right at her feet. Now, it is a good thing that I know how do do that, because on good days Mom comes outside and sits in a chair to throw it for me. Bert, if you learn to drop the ball, the bonus is that you get to play more ball. So drop it quick, you get to run at least twice as many times. Of, course my whole family has to use "Chuck It" to through it as far as I want, but Goose's Mom must be some famous softball player or something because she just throw it all the way up to the hill. Good luck Bert, I know you can do it. Hey Goose, and say hi to your Mom from all of us.
An excellent demonstration with proper technique!
ReplyDeleteYour pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Oh boy she is good at that. My sister Tempest is a great ball bringer backer as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI like fetch. It is fun! :)
