Oh Dog Oh Dog what an amazing time I had with my MOM and Belle on our adventure in Wyoming!! It is going to take a few days to show you what we did, where we went, and what we saw. And believe me, I have plenty of photos to show you. MOM took 589 photos, that's 589 pictures. Thank you ZOOPERSON for making that possible. I think my MOM would have gotten a hand cramp if she had to sketch the whole adventure. I hardly know where to begin, so lets jump right in.
We are in the Bridger National Forest. Is that not a brilliantly beautiful sky?
This here is part of the Greys River. I'll show you more of this river on another post. "I'm coming for you fishies."
This is one of the many streams that feed into the Greys.
I may have mentioned to ya all that MOM and I like to hike along streams and rivers. Often this means that we must hike in the water if the terrain is to dense along the water way. MOM says the best fishing is the places you have to crawl to. Here you can see me leading the way.
My gal pal Belle is totally up for splashing through the streams. In this section MOM had to sort of wade on her knees for about 10 or 15 yards until she could stand up just past the thick brush that overhung the stream and surrounded the stream. Belle and I had no problem getting through.
Be still my heart!!! Belle found and saved a stick. Yep that Belle is a keeper.
Of course it was not all hiking along the streams and river. We also ventured off into the deep woods. MOM says this is steeper than it looks. Steep...phffft. I did not think so.
I LOVE romping through the woods! Can you find me?
You all know one of my special skills is saving sticks. My gal pal Belle has a few special skills too. One of hers is Squirrel Watch and Patrol. When you see her like this you KNOW there are squirrels about.
Sometimes we blaze our own trail. Onward and upward.
"Hey Michelle, where is that Goose?"
Hehehhe, here I am. I am the master of camouflage.
"Come on MOM lets head up this washed out trail."
I've been hiking and backpacking with my MOM for 13 years now, and I know that you have to give her the occasional posed shot. Belle knows this too, but you may have guessed, there is the threat of a squirrel to our left.
Check out this beautiful meadow that was at the top of that incline. The grass here was as soft and a six week old pup.
When we turned around this was our view. Say it with me now.... BE-U-T-FULL!!!!
Soon it was night fall. And Belle and I snuggled up to my MOM and watched the star filled sky.
We had a nice warm camp fire. MOM was trying a new feature on her camera where you take hand held night shots. That's a stick she took out of the fire and held up to the tree lined sky. Cool huh?
That's it for now my friends. Make sure ya all come back. I have loads more to share with you.
MOM wanted to say that this is one of her favorite photos of me and my gal pal Belle. We are the bestest of friends and I am so glad she was with us.
Blessings,
Goose
