On Friday I went to Dr. Eddie to fix my tooth problem. The reason I had to go was a week before I was playing with and chewing on my tennis ball. When momma noticed I stopped and was sniffing the floor. She came over and picked up part of one of my back teeth.
That there is part of my tooth.
Just broke right off and the nerves were exposed. I should say that it was not the tennis balls fault. I may or may not have had an encounter with a rock a week or so prior.
So I waited for Dr. Eddie to come in to see me.
Waiting is very exhausting.
Really exhausting! While I was all relaxed my momma was a bit worried.
But finally they came back to get me and I gave my momma a reassuring kiss. You know to ease her worries.
Now at this point my momma might tell you that after they took me to the back and she was still in the exam room that she heard me "crying" when they put the IV thingy in me. But that is not true at all. NO. Yes I was "crying" a little bit but not because I was scared but because I was worried about my momma.
You know what? Not only did they take the broken tooth but they took the tooth next to it because it was split right down the middle! Dr. Eddie said it was the longest tooth extraction he has ever done! My teeth are in real good shape and he had to drill and drill, dig and dig to get them out. I even have stitches in my gum.
When momma came to pick me up she was in the lobby, but I did not know that. So when I was walking, running really, I ran into the exam room where I last saw my momma and SHE WAS NOT THERE. I am dog enough to admit I started to whine. Where was she. But the nice vet tech told me that she was just on the other side of the hallway door. And sure enough when she opened the door I saw my momma and I wiggled all the way to her and I kissed and kissed and kissed her.
When we got home I knew I need to just hold and cuddle with my momma so she would know I was A-OK. And I am. Oh and notice my nails? While I was "asleep" Dr, Eddie trimmed them up for me.
Momma and I are so grateful for all your emails, and messages. This place called Blogville is just the very best place in the whole world. The love overflows. Momma says that the Tooth Fairy will be stopping by on Sunday to give me a "You were so brave" ball.
