The Art of Sharing the Bed

Hello Friends.

MOM says it's mischief, I say it's Art.  That's right Art, the Art of sharing the bed.

I find it best to be the first one to go to bed.  This insures you get the spot you want.

I also like to share some of the bed with my friend Billy.  I know MOM does not mine.  I mean what's one more?


And lets face it, there are times when you need to put your paws up.  Tell ya what friends nothing beats pillows for a paw rest, soft, comfy and keeps the toes warm.

Of course you should always leave room for the MOM.  As you can see here I have left her TWO options: she can sleep at the top or the bottom of the bed.  I think this is a very thoughtful gesture.  I have heard it said that people do not like sitting in the middle seat on an airplane.  I figure this is very similar.  So because I love my MOM so much I sometimes take the "middle seat" and she can have the more preferred "window" or "isle".   Wanta see how we wake up most mornings?

OK I am not awake yet, but as you can see MOM has gotten up from her spacious spot.  See it there at the top right of the photo? 

"Oh good morning MOM.  Is breakfast ready? Dog oh Dog I slept like a log.  How about you MOM?"

    Holy Dogs Goose, you have a pawfect situation there!! I am kind of little and don't take up too much room, but I love the idea of first choice of spots. I will try that tonight and report back to you.

    We're only little puppers here butt Mommy said we take up as much space as you do Goose. We're all over the bed. We especially like to press our little paws into the human's backs.

    Goose, how could your mom consider that mischief? Surely, you are just sharing the bed...keeping her spot warm for when she is ready for a nap. You are such a gentleman dog to do so, you know.

    that's very wise brother, a bed is like an airplane, because you fly to dreamland efurry night, so you reserved the best place for your momma. well done! and I agree, our feet deserved the best place ever, so plant it on the pillows, that's adequate :o) and yes, you have to be the first... to make a comfy nest with all that pillows and blankies. I prefer to make a giant pile and then I crawl under that thingy :o)

    I luffs being furst to bed as well, and take the middle position so I finks you are pawfectly correct here! Can't see what Mom has to compalin about!

    This is just like we sleep! We allow our mom a sliver at the top of the bed. We think she loves it!

    We let Dad have about a foot on the edge of the bed. He tried to tell Mom she was a bed hog, but she knows better it is us! BOL! Mabel is a great cuddler, if the peeps move she moves like she is attached !

    Oh Mr. Goose! R enjoys the same art... except that his also includes rearranging all the covers to his liking before anyone else comes into bed. I'm so glad that you slept well, and that your mom actually fit in that spot that you so graciously left for her!!! Love you, Goose.
