My last post I talked about the change in my life. A part of that change has an up side (like I knew it would). I may not go on as many big hiking adventures butt I sure have found a GREAT alternative in between those hiking adventures.
Reading with MOM
Napping with a stick I saved on my last adventure with MOM.
A little snooze with Billy Moose.
And best of all, cuddles with my MOM after a walk around the neighborhood. Yea I think I can settle into this next phase of my life.
Blessings,Goose
Yup Goose! There truly IS life after hiking!

Goose we think that is a great way to spend time in your retirement. Sounds all good to us. Tootsie is our guest for Share It Sunday this week and she has nominated you for the week after. You don't have to do anything just email us a link to the post you'd like us to host and we will do the rest and also let us know who you'd like to nominate for the week after.

the photo with billy moose is just to precious for words... you are blessed and so is your mom to have such a great snooze pal...
ReplyDeleteWe think that snuggle time with Mom is an excellent alternative to long hikes.

I like reading too, it needs 5 minutes and I sleep. probably because my mom can even read the most thrilling story like the withe pages of Boring/OR, lol. and you are a poet: snooze with Billy Moose :o) shorter walks are good too, there are a lot of peemails to answer in your neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteMomma cuddles are the BEST!!
ReplyDeleteOMD you are allowed to bring your STICK into the HOUSE????? DARN Buddy that is super... Our mom would not allow that...

I love your attitude, Goose. I've been through that "phase" of life with a number of dogs. Although I found the transition hard, I also found that the bond between me and my dogs grew even deeper after we slowed down. It was even true with K when she slowed down, although she was only 8 years old. Going slower gives you time to really appreciate each other in a different way than crazy running around. I think you and your mom probably understand this even better than I do. Lots of love to both of you.
ReplyDeleteI loved to sit on the front lawn with Sam and watch the neighbors come home from work. Sometimes he let me know he was up to a little walk, and sometimes he wasn't. It was all part of the joy I felt from Sam. I wouldn't have traded that for anything.
