Spring is HERE

Hello Friends.

Spring is here.  Want to know how I know?  Well there are a couple of signs, things that happen every year to let me know that Spring has come.  First thing is that MOM does not park the Blazer in the garage.  Yep, no more scraping ice off the windshield.   Then there is the first mowing of the lawn.  If you have read my blog for a little while you know that it takes MOM about 2 1/2 hours to mow my lawn.  But that first cut of the year it takes about 4 to 4 1/2 hours.  Something about it being long and thick and still a little damp.  For me it's like a four hour walk cuz I walk right beside her every step of the way.  I have to make sure she does not run over any of my sticks or any of my lost balls and toys that got buried by the snow.  The other sure sign is this:

I develop a green back.

No mistaking it, Spring has sprung.

And when Spring is here this happens.

Oh Yea!  Rollin' in freshly cut grass, playing fetch and keep a way.  Why don't you all come on over to enjoy some beautiful Spring fun.  Every dog and kitties too, can come over, there is plenty of room and grass and sunshine for everyone!
Blessings,
Goose

Oh Goose it would be lovely to share that grass with you - Jade too loved to 'grass bath'... but I must say I'd be getting a ride-on mower if that paddock was mine!

So glad you are finally getting some decent weather. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty

  17. Great roaching there, Goose. We are still waiting for our mowers to come to do our first cutting. Mom used to do it until she started having all those bone breaking problems. We have had so many rainy days that the ground has been too wet for the mowers, but maybe this week. Please say hello to Bert and Vickie for us - we read their journal and enjoyed it very much.

  18. What a nice video, Goose. I'm waiting for the spring too, today we had something like a "Bonsai-Spring" and I think Mr. Spring will visit me soon. Green is absolutely your color, it looks great with your silver-misty-gray fur :o)

  20. Hi Goose,

I gotta say that is some huge yard you have, oh my it must be so fun to run around and do zoomies.

We had a hail storm yesterday I don't think spring is ever going to show up in Seattle.

  21. Goose that is very good that you walk besides your mom, just in case there would be a snake in that grass....that is what my mom worries about the most when she starts cleaning up flower beds, etc...yep snakes. Has she ever in 15 years seen one at our house, well NO but that doesn't stop her from worrying about one. Does that tell you a little about her personality. Also it is trying to be spring here but today it is cold.

  25. You look like you are enjoying the weather! I love the grass too, but I am afraid of bees so I only go out front for a short roll around (the bees don't know about the front yard...I don't care what mom says). Enjoy Spring and playing keep away.

  46. Are those dandelions I see? We don't even have those yet and definitely our grass is not long enough to mow. You are a lucky doggie Goose to have so much green!

  47. Goosie, that looks SO very fun! I wonder how I'd look with a green back. My new collar has green in it, so I think it would look very color-coordinated. I'll have to ask my David. He knows a lot about color.

  48. The next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, but I actually thought you have something interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you could fix if you werent too busy looking for attention.
